The style of this tournament is based off of the TV show "Survivor", but if you are unfamiliar that's okay! It's been set up in such a way that even those without prior knowledge should be able to pick it up quickly. We will be bringing you lots of interviews, team discussions, and game play through the next 2 months.
The primary goal of this tournament is to produce some fun, and original content for not just the players, but also the viewers. We want to try to capture that "homestory cup feel" and bring you guys a little closer to the players. Please don't be shy about leaving feedback on the event as things progress, we do value opinions!
The initial prize pool for this event will be 250$.
First place: 70%
Second place: 20%
Third & Fourth place: 5% each
There will be an open community jar for this event where 100% of the donations will go directly to the overall prize pool. (Please see the community involvement section below for more details. You can also visit this link to go directly to the donation page)
Every week will feature two different sets of challenges, one for reward, and one for immunity. Players will not have advance knowledge of what games, or what format will played be beforehand. There will be a mix of everything though from Raynor parties, 1v1's, KOTH's and more! The losers of the immunity game(s) will be forced to attend Tribal Council.
Reward: This challenge will often help a team/player either by giving them an advantage going into the immunity challenge, or a personal benefit.
Immunity: Winners of the immunity challenge will be immune to voting when Tribal Council comes to session. When in team format, this means that team does not have to vote any of their players out that week, and when in solo format, that player may not be voted out.
Tribal Council: Teams/Players will be forced to vote out one of their own every week in this session. After a set number of players have been voted out of the game, the two teams will merge into one and the game will be more about self survival, than team.
The game will start with 10 players, but after 4 have been voted out, the next 4 will becomes members of the Jury that will determine who wins the game at the very end. ("Even votes issues" explained in the community section below)
We've invited a mixed list of varied players & personalities from North America (+ one viking). Since there's going to be a good mix of both custom & regular Starcraft 2 games played, nobody has a distinct advantage!
This is the big one guys. First and foremost, any contributions you make to the prize pool through donations goes entirely to these players, which is why the prize pool is percentage based. Most importantly though, when the game comes down to only 2 players remaining, two new tip jars will be opened up for players A & B. 100% of player A's donations go directly to player A, not the over all prize pool, same for player B. However, whomever's tip jar has more will be the 5th vote in our jury (Community gets a vote).
(example: Player A has 15$ in his jar, while Player B has 25$. The vote will go in favour of player B)
We've set up a dedicated donation page on our website

If you've ever stopped by BaseTradeTV's stream before, you'll know the one thing we pride ourselves in most is our chat. While we hope to see lots of people rooting for, cheering on, and discussing their favourite players during these events, I do want to take a moment to remind everyone to be courteous even though there will certainly be a few moments / votes / decisions you do not agree with.
