There is no mention of the need for the DT to be dead or wounded. This would imply that there have to be DT in SC2 as they didnt all of a sudden fused themselves with machines -_-;; Furthermore we may be cartain to see at least one Dark Templar in SC2 and I am of course talking about: LOL!! just the thought of them all fusing themselves with machines makes me laugh. and btw, Ive seen boxer use cloaked units, it depends on the game and matchup, but I still think cloaking adds more strategy to the game. DA's dont necessarily HAVE to be in the next game, especially if DT's will be able to fuse with HT's (that would be awesome). DA's would only be able to stay if DA's had a purpose. At the very least, they need to be able to attack, or make their base spells better. Maybe send out glowing energy projectiles similar to a mix between cannons & archon attacks? (splash, but its a projectile, meh its an idea)

Unfortunately I don't think they have been overly imaginative so far with two dragoon replacements that bear striking resemblance to the original. Both gameplay wise and graphics wise (4-legged robot with average/long range single target fire). I only hope the ghost get a more central mid game role than is the case now since it's such an awesome units. I hope it will be earlier tech with a more powerful basic attack.

The sad truth is... spinning fugly static beam shite thingy So warp-ray instead of warp-blade But at the moment, who says cloaked units are in? Nothing indicates that. Also, they hint that DTs are gone, no unit was listed or mentioned as a detector... Looks like DTs are gone. (they all sacrificed themselves and became goon wannabes) And cloaking is gone. (DT-rush was unZtoppable! Read between the lines here: "they don't want the game to be rush based", plus it was the ultimate rush. It always won, every BW newbie knows this. Also, some of the high-tier units look like they have a shitload of hitpoints. In BW they had more, but not necessarily a shitload more. Does this mean that they will be much more expensive, or will they have very low damage? If they are more expensive, then the game must enter mid and lategame quicker, meaning macrofocus of attackmove armies against each other, instead of continuous fighting from go. Me is more than a bit worried. Why can't they just release all info and end our concerns, or at show that SC2 is not a true sequel to BW by any means and just C&C in space.

You can't back any of it cept Motherships have high HP... which is true. Where did they say game was gonna be or not gonna be rush based? or DTs are removed to be newbie friendly for early game or any of that shit Maybe because the game is in pre-alpha, you should stop making shit assumptions as fact. This goes for just about everyone really though.

The Stalker has to be made from a death of a DT so it makes sense that the DT is not going anywhere. well actually no, they are DT's that decided to be stalkers... Immortals still house not so lucky ex-zealots. Also on the SC2 site the states that the DT's decided after the the destruction of Auir and getting to work with their Auir brothers that they need technology to battle the Zerg. I like how they are showing the Protoss adapting a lot, the Protoss culture of old was use to being very conservative and stead fast in their ways. DT's were pwned by Overlords so they became Stalkers... Dragoons were pwned by tanks so they made immortals, Reavers were slow as fuck and had to be carried (shuttled) where ever they needed to go, so now they have the tall Colossus that can walk over cliffs.

Your assumptions don't hold one drop of water IMO. Warp rays are "pwned" by marines because their special ability is that they do more damage the longer they shoot at a target. thats why they show warp rays raping bcs and then destroying a barracks in seconds. mad rines would clearly counter that...

It always won, every BW newbie knows this..... actually, they said they wanted to add more options for early game units (including rushes, if I had to take a guess). Cannons are detectors (and they used those), they just didnt click one directly that showed the "detector" status. Not ALL of them fused with machines to become stalkers, i think it said on starcraft2.com that "some" did this. Overlords TOO are detectors (and I assume theyre not gonna get rid of overlords). BTW, the ghosts in the gameplay vid are cloaked, if u watch u can see them move (but not actually see the unit, much like SC1) and they UNCLOAK only to get massed by lings. EDIT: Or will they do it like WAR3 and not let you see cloaked units at all. (I Hated that shit) Distortion FTW!> They will do it like original SC from gameplay vid, before LING GG. watch closely, u can see the cloaked ghosts move.

I'd give them a good 50 damage against small targets, but I'd limit the number of ghost you have the same time. Let's say that would be 3. This way you could use them as cloaked hunters of precious units, they could snipe out defilers, high templars, observers, shuttles.
