UPDATE!: NEWER VERSION IS OUT:
http://www.filefront.com/13986957/Resolution Expander - 5.1.zip
This version seems to have no bugs

Thanks to Shade692003 for finding it

Works, No lag, looks beautiful

(OLD VERSION, NEWER ONE ABOVE)
http://members.optusnet.com.au/~tetsrox/ResolutionHack.rar

I know there was another post with this link a while ago but i was surprised to find it dead with no attention at all. Idk, maybe i missed something but isn't this revolutionary, at least for watching replays? I use it to watch all my replays and its the greatest tool ever! If everyone already knows about this then I'm sorry for calling attention to it, but I think everyone should give this a try, because seeing sc replays in high res beats the old way by a lot.

I'm not telling everyone to play with this hack, as it would probably get you banned from iccup, plus give you an unfair advantage unless your opponent was using it too, but definitely give it a chance for replay viewing.

CUSTOM RESOLUTION: inside the folder, double click the file called ResHack.ini
and replace the numbers for ur own resolution. This not only lets you customize how much you get to view, but for all my widescreen homies out there, this makes it so that things appear their appropriate size, so say goodbye to stretched out sprites!!!....at least for replays

TIP FROM ME:
if you have a big screen, its probably best that you dont set it to your actual screen resolution as this can make sprites appear way too small. So try playing with the resolution till you find a good size. But definitely pick a resolution with ur screen aspect ratio

Some Bugs(ONLY WITH THE OLD VERSION):

-When playing, clicking on the mini-map while having a unit selected wont send it to the correct position.

-Fog of war is basically turned off so the whole map is revealed. This doesn't mean that you can see your opponent, just that instead of the fog, you see the map

Basically what it does is change the ingame resolution of bw to 1024. The beginning loading / intro is normal 640 but when the game starts. You know those high res shots of where the bird eye view is really up in the air. It's like that. The buildings all smaller and you have a huge vision of the map.

oh im sorry, it makes it so you can see sc in high res, and it actually works. Ive been looking for something like this for ages and ive finally found it. Imagine watching a replay of a battle, but you see 4 or 8 times more than what you normally would. Im not sure what resolution it sets it to, and it may or may not depend on ur screen, but chances are you own a computer monitor that is bigger than 640X480

Only problem is the interface for where the hotkeys show up is cut off for me. Anybody else have that problem?

Oh and replays look awesome with it lol

It makes the resolution of your in-game screen larger. I don't have any pics, but it looks awesome from the screenshots I've seen. Haven't downloaded it because I heard the last version was very buggy, but I'll try this out.

For those who still can't picture what it does, it's like your view is zoomed out. You can see much, much more on your screen.

it makes it look as beautiful as when ur using the map editor, you know how all the units and buildings look smaller and sweeter? This version doesn't lag at all. There was one that i tried before i found this one and it was very buggy and laggy, but i think this one is made by someone else

i havnt tried it due to fear of getting banned, though i admit i would love playing in this resolution. This should however make it more difficult to micro since units are smaller, but would make it easier to see and pay attention since more is on the screen. Minimap would also be smaller so that would be harder too. But if you plan to play with this, keep in mind you could get banned and that ur units wont go where you click on the minimap. Other than that its great.

It increases the area of the map you can see, if you set it to 1280x960 you can see 4 times as much, that's the idea. There is another one that has a correctly working minimap and fog of war, a lot of hackers have attempted this type of hack. It was probably posted here too. Edit: there is one that let's you set the resolution, I guess this isn't that one.

It's only nice if you watch replays for entertainment, you can't really play normally with it even if you have one that doesn't lag because everything is so much smaller. It's really nice to see large battle without having to move your screen.
I haven't used the one I have for ages because advloaders' statinfo is much more important for my enjoyment of replays.

If your scared of getting banned, just use it for replay sakes, single player should be fine.

I tried that one and it lagged like crazy and crashed from time to time. Also the colors were buggy, kinda like sc startup for some people who use vista. Anyways i gave up on that one as it wasn't very enjoyable.
