Hey TL,
pretty much a year ago I hacked up an ugly Firefox user script that made watching Youtube videos more or less spoiler free. Here is the original thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=66446
Due to numerous requests I want to finally write a new, proper version. However, I need some help with this. Specifically, I need someone who knows his way around Adobe Flash or Flash CS3.
What you would need to do is create a custom skin for JWPlayer. There is an extensive description of how to create a skin on the website: http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/SkinningThePlayer
The requirements are very simple. The skin should disable the progress bar, disable the video length, but still enable play / stop and fullscreen. As a bonus it would be awesome if a slideable progress bar could be enabled optionally - but this is really just nice-to-have.
As a reward I offer 100 Schrute Bucks and the appreciation of all of TL.
Feel free to post any questions or PM me.

I'll give it a try

are you just asking to remove timeSlider and totalText from any existent skin or make totally new one without these two controls?

Here's a default skin without progress bar/vid length/progressed time.

This is pretty much what I am looking for. What do you guys mean by "based on a default skin"? If the terms of use of this default skin allow it, can you please theme this for TL? For example include the Icon of the nevake youtube channel: http://www.teamliquid.net/staff/funkie/3.jpg
I will start working with this.
You are both awarded 100 Schrute Bucks:

It's just the first skin from their source folder. I don't know about user skins that lies elsewhere, but these ones are as free to use and modify as player itself.

Would be really cool if this could be themed to look like a real TL.net player.

Here's my go at it :p Didnt get a chance to test it though.

Oh wow this is sick :-)
Two things open atm: - Seems I can't forward beyond what is already buffered (standard JW Player can do that) - When going to fullscreen and back the fullscreen and sound buttons move to the right off screen.

Question: What is the conversion of Shrute Bucks to Stanley Nickels?
|
zatic, there might be some problems, because I haven't read their instructions properly... But I'm in the middle of the night here, so I have an excuse! :> I'll check it better after sleep.
Does it also need proper volume control, playlist, link and so on? The 'bright' skin seems to be not a good choice for a starting point - it's way too minimalistic.
And backcolor=FFFFFF is much better for the skin I linked ;P It would need redesign if you want to stick to the black
