I was browsing on yahoo.com to look at my emails this morning and I stumbled upon the headline, "Ugly basketball incident." Now since I've always been a big fan of basketball, I was immediately drawn in to read the article.
After seeing this video, I was disgusted. What happened to sportsmanship? Or even more so..... morals?? I'm lead to believe that this was a malicious act and not just an accident because he was smiling and high-fiving teammates after the incident. Aubrey Coleman did get ejected, but should there be further consequences involved? I certainly think so. On another note, would this be a national headliner if the roles had been switched??
Yeah I agree it's pretty obvious it's malicious rather than accidental. Absolutely disgusting.
But the more I watch pro sports in the USA, the more I realize how so many of them act like thugs (and many of them probably are thugs by nature since all it takes to be a sports star on a major team is athletic skill and diligence in training that skill or those skills).
My own football team had a star player who thought the solution to having too many potentially dangerous fans was to place a handgun in the waistband of your sweat pants in a night club ._.
edit: and interesting question about how different this event would be if it had been the white guy stepping on the black guy.
Wow, seriously? Hopefully the atheltic department or the appropriate people of the school deal out some sort of punishment cause that's freakin stupid. "Oh dur hur let's step on dude's face" no way man -_-; (maybe one day a huge center steps on him lolz)
what happened to sportsmanship? in 99% of situations when people get pissed off and control their emotions, they are manner, and sportsmanship survives. when one guy fucks up once for who knows what reason, some random guy asks where sportsmanship has gone
sports or not, that was a disgusting thing to do. i hate people who try to get away with stuff like that if this happened out on the streets and the dude that got stepped on shot the other guy in the face, his parents would be on the 6 o'clock news crying and saying how he(the black dude) was such a good boy with a bright future. blah blah blah.

This. This really is a more or less isolated incident in the grand scheme of things. This dude is just an asshole. It transcends "sportsmanship".

Wow that is disgusting. I have never seen anything so low and disrespectful in college basketball. At least everyone will know what kind of dirty faggot Aubrey Coleman is.
