My Dad's friend a few day's ago told me that Asian people have peripheral vision and see about 20% less then non-Asian people. I was unsure if this fact was true or not so i decided to do what any other resonable human being would do. I asked my Asian friend to hold out his hands to the side of his head, sort of near his ears. He was unable to see his hands until he moved his hands up about an inch.
I asked my other non-Asian friends to do the same, and they could see there hands, I also can see my hands there. My Asian friend was astounded because he did not know this before hand.
I guess this is a reason why they are bad drivers??
Ive been trying to find some sort of article to explain the science behind this, but I cannot, can you guys help me to explain this?

I can do it.

People with brown eyes have less peripheral vision than people with blue eyes. So to, that I learned in grade 9 drama class.

Your other Asian friends were probably doing it wrong, place your hand's center on top of your ear's center, kind of like they're having sex. To make it clear, your arm doesn't count.

Here's a better question - what stereotypes are true? Use sources if possible.

Now I don't know which section I dislike more: Blogs or SC2.

I didn't mean to be racist, i mean like i heard from my friends Dad who is like super smart with computers, and all around out doors stuff, and then since i wasn't sure i asked my friends to see if they could see there hands and they couldn't so i mean I thought it was true :o

make two fists. face them upward. the fingers on both hands should be facing each other. if you're doing it right, your thumbs should be pointing towards the screen, and you can see the index fingers rolled.
now, just pull the both fists onto your eyes. it should be somewhat total dark. now, slightly open up your fingers. you can see what's in front of you right?
open up your fingers bigger, and you can see bigger right?
what your dad told you may be true, because many asians have small eyes. it's definitely not true that all asians see 20% less than non-asians. this is total bullshit, and your father's ignorant.
bad drivers? the so-called bad asian drivers are usually women, because most of them are born very humble, quiet and etc. that they often have fear of driving recklessly. they certainly would not tailgate somebody or speed ahead of others. most of them are nervous because of this.
most asian guys are not bad drivers, so they are the exception. you've seen Tokyo drift. you've seen asian racing girls. they love cars, and they are definitely capable of competing against white people.
lulz.

How can you do it wrong... you just move your hands from out of vision at the side of your head until you can see them while looking straight ahead. And what the helll... like your hand is having sex with your ear? Are you retarded?

you've seen Tokyo drift. Very nice citation (y)
In the near future, we'll all be in space ships fighting aliens that look like lurkers who can't burrow (Heinlein, 1).
