Introduction
October 2006 - March 2007 / May 2007
Created by CJ Media (the sponsor behind CJ Entus), the SuperFight series of show matches was broadcast live over a number of their channels and internet streams. Each broadcast also included First Person views of each participant and some branched into popular games aside from Starcraft.
The SuperFight show-matches were held once a month from October 2006 to March 2007. These show matches were not just simply famous invited progamers battling it out for money, but many
of these events were given a theme, from an New & Old theme to the Ace event to the Race Wars.
CJ Media did not hold back for their own piece of broadcasted Starcraft warfare as they went all-out
with the production for their events with elaborate introduction for the players and large prize pools.

I'm not satisfied to just sit in the audience. I hope they call me next time. I will create fun games.

The match means a lot to me. I will not step down so easily.

I am happy that I was able to compete at an event with my seniors, who are like stars to me.
If there's another event like this in the future, I will do my best to lead Zerg to the victory.

With the success of the first SuperFight, the second one was held a month later. The concept
for this, night of showmatches, was Old & New. Starting off with a opening game between two
newer players, MBC's Sea (14) and SK Telecom T1's Canata (17). The night then moved into
a midcard match, the first non-starcraft SuperFight match between two Warcraft 3 superstars.
Finally, the main event of the night was an epic show match between two stars from an older
generation of progaming stars, Genius Terran, NaDa (21) and the Hero Protoss, Reach (21).

Taking place in a large outdoor soccer stadium, the mood was set with an opening soccer match
between China and Korea in EA's FIFA. Afterwards the opening starcraft match of the night was a gender affair as the female progamer ToSsGirL was given an opportunity to play off against a male progamer of her picking, ex-STX teammate JJu. The main event of the night was a monster clash between the two current starleague champions (as well as previous SuperFight winners, each with
a 3 - 0 record), the Shinhan 2 OSL champion, NaDa and the Pringles 2 MSL champion, Savior.

With rumors about a new progaming team made by the Korean Air Force for personnel surfacing
in November and fans hopeful of an early return of their emperor. Although the team had not yet released their uniform or conducted their official ceremony, the Air Force ACE were invited by
CJ Media to participate in their first Team SuperFight, the aptly named Ace Match tournament.
Inviting all 11 progaming teams and the Air Force team, the SuperFight was based around the closing match in proleague, where the representing player for each team was not revealed until
they were walking to the booth. For the teams, this allows them to opportunity guess or deceive, while the chosen ace only needed one thought as they sat down, to win the game or go home.

The fifth SuperFight took the battle between the races and CJ Media had created an entire night
of show matches based around the Race War. Showing off the maps to be used in the upcoming proleague season, the three races squared off with each race being represented by a coach (from teams not represented by players), an invited player and two remaining players on each team decided by an fan poll combined with vote conducted by esports players, officials and media.
The format for the tournament was a series of round robin rounds with each race played each of the other two races. There was a restriction in place allowing each player on a team to only play once during the round. After two rounds, the third round would feature the two best races squaring off.
(If the races are tied after two, the third final round will be another round robin with the three races.)
