Due to GomTV changes, this is no longer available.
Old content below for reference only.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got annoyed with how GOM Player has become increasingly unreliable trying to navigate to streams, giving "You need GOMTV" or empty pages instead of content. So I developed a little hack to work around it by making my own GOM Player "homepage". It will show upcoming live games with a one-click button to High and Low bitrate, as well as recent VODs (powered by VOD-O-Matic!).
Screenshot:
How To Use: You need to trick Gom Player into connecting to the alternate page instead of the real page. To do this, you will need to edit the IP for tv.gomtv.com in your hosts file to 65.98.84.21.
Windows XP Users This may work on Vista too, I don't know whether Vista keeps the hosts file in the same place though.
1. Start, Run
2. Type in: notepad %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and hit OK
3. You should see Notepad open up the hosts file. At the bottom of the file should be "127.0.0.1 localhost".
4. At the very end of the hosts file, add the following on a new line: 65.98.84.21 tv.gomtv.com
Save and exit notepad.
5. Close GOM Player if it's running.
6. Start GOM Player and you should see the new index.
To undo this, delete the line you added in step 4.
NOTE: I have not tested the Live Stream functionality yet, as there haven't been any live streams to test with . Rest assured if there are problems when a live game begins, I will correct them ASAP.
Let me know if this works (or doesn't) for you!

Edit: the error 0x0000071 or some crap still happening. You can still get around it by clicking 'no' (right button) and keep spaming the Play button till it works.

good yob btw. I was never able to figure out how to use Gom correctly (and it shows scriptingerrors after every click)

I'm using winxp, and when I try to save the file it says "Cannot create the file. Make sure the path and filename are correct."
Does this have to do with permissions and/or the fact that HOSTS has no file extension?

Great hack! Works perfectly. But one quick question, are these your streams aka the relay ones or the original gom streams?
Thanks.

xp. After giving that error, when I tried again, it found the file, but it was blank (probably because it had just created a file for it
