There are 6 groups of 4 players (equating to 24 at the start of the tournament) which duke it out every week in a Dual Tournament-style round robin. The player advancing from the winners game goes onto a play-off, while the winner of the final game goes on straight to the ODT. The rest get sent back to the PSL (Offline Qualifiers).
The 6 winners play each other in a bracket style best of 3 knock out. But, I'm sure you must be saying, "There will be only three winners? Huh?". The fourth seed from the last OSL (this season, EVER), gets sent straight to the semi-finals to try his luck for a chance for his/her fourth seed.

Thanks for the awesome pic GTR. I recently figured the system out, but it's much easier to remember now I'm sad raid didn't make it.

Oh no, XellOs group is going to be a ggochu. Anytime, Shark, and Midas. What happened to Midas though? He seriously just disappeared after failing in Gom TV 2 losing to a gay TT on stupid Monty Hall.
Oh nvm, thank God for TLPD. =]. Midas after falling in Gom TV 2 to TT has been somewhat active via Proleague but flopped in the last MBC Survivor.

midas was beaten by kwanro if i remember corectly this season

Thanks GTR, also very excellent diagram!
Also no Terrans have made it in yet! Although there are a couple that i do hope make it, like Xellos, and Sync (although I don't think Sync will make it).

good stuff, and still no terran qualified (from this stage)! i see at most 3-4 terrans advancing, hopefully less.

A winner hasn't been set to bold in the match between 910 and by.raid in Group A

I must say, this list of players doesn't really excite me. I know that most of the "strong" players have already qualified for the ODT through the OSL etc. But still, there's no young player here that I would really like to see in the OSL next season. So far, I'm only interested in seeing Jy and Raid in the OSL, and Raid has dropped out already.
I guess I wouldn't mind Calm qualifying either, but where are the exciting CJ players like Kwanro or TheMania, and where are players like Lucifer, or Haran. Maybe I'll feel a bit more attached to Best or Skyhigh if they manage to qualify, but for now I feel like all the more exciting talents are not here.

+ Show Spoiler [cornerning MSL results] +This season clearly shows the disadvantages of the idea of having OSC and OSL simultaneously. The offline qualifiers for the next OSL were held on August 20th. At this point noone could predict Mind winning the MSL. Thats why he was put in a group with Anytime to whom he lost 0-2. So the current MSL champion wont have a chance to participate in OSL until at least April 2008. ![](/mirror/smilies/frusty.gif)

ehr... mind's offline qualifier seeding for the OSL wouldnt have changed based on his MSL performance so him winning the msl has no relevance.
it is however kinda neat how anytime 2-0'd him and at the time no one thougt twice about it and now he might be the next star player :D

Sorry, youre wrong. The seeds for the the offline qualifiers are based solely on the kespa rankings on which winnig the MSL has quite an impact.
