The WCG US Open event will be taking place June 2-3 at the Samsung Experience in Manhattan/Midtown. The StarCraft games will only be played on Sunday, June 3. Check-in time is 11am and the tentative end time is 7pm. Tournament structure is one round of group play, best of 3 maps. Out of the top four players chosen from last year's US Finals, the top two out of the group rounds get to move on to WCG US 2007 National Finals in Orlando, Florida September 14-17. Players will also have a chance to qualify for a Pan American event hosted in Cancun, Mexico June 22-24.

The event is open to spectators! Spectators are invited to compete in Tony Hawk's Project 8 for an automatic berth at the WCG USA National final. There will also be many interactive product demonstrations and giveaways from tournament sponsors.
