Feedback on $1000 Gaming PC Build

Does this look like a good build for a relatively high performance gaming computer? I just want to know if there are any compatibility issues, if the power supply is large enough, and if there is a better component i can substitute in (while keeping the price at around $1000). Thanks.

Around $1000 (I do have some leeway but not a huge amount).

What games do you intend to play on this computer? What settings?
Most next gen games (Assassin's Creed 4, Arkham Origins, etc.), on high settings preferably.

What do you intend to use the computer for besides gaming?
Internet, Skype, etc. (Nothing very taxing).

Do you intend to do SLI / Crossfire?

from your build:

GPU price looks a little off, i'm not sure. Quite high

$85 is a lot for 2x4gb of standard-y RAM

Mobo and CPU are last gen, and $105 is a bit much to spend on a basic non-oc motherboard. You should probably be building Haswell (i5 4670) with a h81 board or something similar

PSU is way overkill on wattage (gaming power draw would be way under 50% load) and you can get a better quality unit for the same or less price

How many watts should my PSU power then? Also, wouldn't a haswell cpu and motherboard cost more than its ivy bridge equivalent? Thanks for the response, i've posted this in the build resource thread and i'll stop responding here.

You are not willing to use SLI/Crossfire and won't do overclocking either. Cyro is right, you will never need 600W of power.
If you like Corsair, just take the Corsair CX 500W for fifty bucks @ microcenter here.

GFX is over the top as well, but can be seen as a future inverstment.
I have just ordered a GTX660 and everything I play is on ultra with AA.

Take last gen CPU. You're not willing to OC, ok, but just take the CPU without "K". Like Cyro suggested - i5-4670. Plus H or B motherboard. Motherboard is another area to save some money and invest on the right place.
Something like ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP here.
