Yesterday, I lost against this build, which is very powerful. This is a game between two high masters, and the protoss did this 2 base stalker allin, which has already been a bit covered by day9's daily:
This video shows a 2 base blink stalker build which isn't allin because of the forges being built.
So about the summary of the game, which can be found there (http://ggtracker.com/matches/4531229):
I opened up with a standard reaper expand, only two rax before adding the factory and so on.
The protoss player decided to go for a two base stalker allin, which I scouted and prepared for with some bunkers at the edges of my bases.
After harassing a little bit, the protoss breaks the front and kill my army which isnt strong compared to his.
So here are the mistakes I've noticed. I needed to look back at the link I've put before to realize some timings could be better:
-Firstly, my 2nd supply is too late because I forgot it.
-My second gaz is a bit late, innovation starts his at about 5:30, right after his 2nd rax finishes and I'm adding one gaz way later (at 6:30). I'm also putting a scv into the gaz too late.
This leads to my factory being built later, and my medivacs pop out about 1 minute later than those of innovation.
Although this might be a mistake from me, I don't understand one thing:
I scouted a twilight council, when should I prepare at least one turret? I see innovation building his engineering bay way later, shouldn't he be afraid of DTs?
Although this match between these two pro players looks like mine, we can't compare the outcome because of the commitment of Patience in building stalkers and gates or not. I was facing an allin while innovation was facing a pressure build.
When I lost this game, my first thought was that my build was too greedy, teching too fast before adding more barracks. Do you think I should go for a 3rd rax before factory if I want to be in a perfect shape to deflect his push, and to win the game straight afterwards?
Thx for your help
