Problem
Having issues installing windows 7 on my ssd.
Initially I installed it on the ssd, the computer did it's first launch into windows setup (requires naming the pc/ password/etc.) Then desktop popsup, then after a couple seconds windows automatically shutsdown, and my computer reboots. Except rather than rebooting to windows my computer just keeps turning on and off without once booting windows. So I go back to windows setup, this time it says "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."
Did some googling, made sure the sata contoller was set on AHCI. Same message shows up.
Tried creating a full 'new', partition. Label of 'primary' shows up. Now it says 'Windows cannot be installed to disk 0 partition 1" then I click shiw details and says the same message about disk controller in bios settings.
So the problem seems to be bios setting related, any ideas on which setting is causing this?
