In light of a devastating fire yesterday at the venue for the WCS America Season 2 Premier League Ro16, the North American Star League is moving the competition taking place in six days to the NASL Studio.
Yesterday, a kitchen fire broke out at Yankee Doodles in Santa Monica, California (full story). As a result of this fire, the venue is now closed indefinitely until repairs are completed. Upon learning of this news, NASL began working on a solution to ensure the Ro16 continues as scheduled and that player travel and schedules are not affected.
Thanks to a recent expansion at the NASL Studio, the players will have a new competition area where a select audience will be able to watch. A secondary viewing room will also be available. However, as in-studio audience space will be limited, admission will be granted on an invitation-only basis.
An update regarding how to claim a wristband for the WCS America Season 2 Finals at the Red Bull Studio will be posted soon. Fans still wishing to watch the action with their friends are encouraged to check the NASL Facebook page regularly for updates.
