An MIT Police officer has died after he was shot near the Stata Center on campus Thursday night. A pursuit and shootout in Watertown early Friday morning may be connected to the shooting.

The FBI today released images of two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing the bureau still considers to be "armed and extremely dangerous."
At a press conference, FBI special agent in charge Richard DesLauriers referred to the two men as Suspect 1 and Suspect 2 and said Suspect 2 was spotted dropping a bag before a bomb exploded at the second bomb site. The two men appear to be "associated," DesLauriers said.

Crews were sent to 617 Boylston St. at about 2:30 p.m. Witnesses said several victims lost limbs, and the area was being evacuated. Many of the injured appeared to be spectators who gathered for the 117th running of the race.
NewsCenter 5's Sean Kelly said the blasts happened across the street from the Lenox Hotel. The victims were being taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. NewsCenter 5 and WCVB.com will have more information when it becomes available. Three are confirmed dead.
