IPL just posted on their Facebook page that Mvp will no longer be attending IPL5 or the GSL World Championships, due to his wrist injury. Full statement below:
Attention StarCraft fans: Due to wrist injuries, LG- Incredible Miracle Hyeon, Jeong-Jong (IMMvp) will be unable to compete at #IPL5 in both the IPL5 and GSLWC tournaments. Based on GSL point rankings, Startale ST-Squirtle HyunWoo Park will be replacing him. Please wish them both the best!
It's really terrible that Mvp's wrists are affecting him enough to cause him to drop out of tournaments. Hopefully he gets treatment soon - I'm sure all of us want to see the King of Terran performing at his best.

I remember in one of his interview and said that if he ever took time off to get his wrist fixed, he might retire afterward.
Now I honestly hope this won't happen because he is one of the few terran players that I enjoy watching
take care and come back in an even more beasty form IMMVP!

Oh no! I wonder how much longer he's willing to stick around in the pro-scene before officially retiring. Hopefully he doesn't hurt himself passed the point of repair after he moves on from his pro-gaming career.

That sucks, the only foreign tournament Mvp got to attend lately is IEM, at the cost of WCS. I hope he gets treatment and can return to form someday.

Once he can get his wrists treated he should come back better than he has been this whole year. And that's saying something, considering he's in the running for player of the year with his GSL runs and an IEM victory.

Well wait if he's forfeiting from those, does that mean he will forfeit from GSL and maybe finally get his wrists back together?

This is rough, but good news imho. I've been pretty worried about his condition and hoping he would take a bit of a break from all the competition to give himself a chance to heal. It's 100x worse later on if he toughs through it without regard to longterm consequences, and I'd hate to see him drop out of competition permanently because of injury.

Replacing a player that loses to a foreigner in a team league with a player that just loses to foreigners much worse than him, alright.
Squirtle is getting back on track though so this is great news (for him that is, obviously not for MVP). I think he is back to practicing again and hopefully spending a little less time with his girlfriend.

With terran on the decline I cant blame him for choosing right now to heal. Hopefully when he is back things will be better and easier.
