Jarrett "Teh_Pwnerer" Cale Fan Club

Absolutely not. Here's the thing, I was watching WCS UK and thought, wow, this ReDeYe guy is doing a pretty bang up job of hosting this thing! Then I saw WCS Europe and was even more impressed with him. Then I read the who is ReDeYe thread and was blown away that I hadn't heard of that e-sports hero.

Well, Jarrett Cale, is a Canadian e-sports hero, he's my e-sports hero. He deserves a similar amount of respect as the fantastic ReDeYe. Growing up I was a closet a nerd. The thing I hated most about myself was how much more fun I had playing computer games than I did with real life. Then I started watching Pure Pwnage and everything changed. The show just makes you feel awesome to be a part of this culture, the jokes are jokes that all can enjoy, but only gamers can appreciate for their full brilliance. The more I watched the show, the more okay I became with who I am. Eventually, I was even able to celebrate that part of me. You just throw in your best Jeremy-Micro impression into conversation at random like it ain't no thang and people just accept it, and soon that awesome pure pwnage humor becomes YOUR humor, and it's a beautiful thing.

Furthermore, that was mostly happening six or seven years ago. E-sports hadn't really happened yet in the western world. At the very least, rts based e-sports hadn't happened. Yet Jerett Cale and the cast of Pure Pwnage had the vision, the clairvoyance even of what it could become. Nowadays whenever I see stephano just casually pwning noobs I can't help but see the similarities between him and Jeremy from the show. Seriously, watch it and tell me you can't see it. Sure Stephano is smarter, but pwning is just a part of everyday life for him, and that's what the show is all about. You can also just tell that if this e-sports boom was happening ten years ago, Jerett would've been one of the first ones hopping over to the PC Bangs of korea to train to be the best.

Now Jarrett is getting back into starcraft it seems. He did a great job of hosting IEM Cologne, and just this evening this teaser appeared on his site:

It looks like Pure Pwnage will return, and I for one couldn't be more excited. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one either.

If I need to change some things in this thread like taking down the pure pwnage logos or whatever that's fine, I'm not entirely sure how these things work. But I figure if Lindsey Sporrer can get a fanclub than I can't see how anyone could say Jarrett doesn't deserve one.

I guess what I'm saying is like, if you don't you know... like the thread, you can, pretty much suck my balls, right?

And no, I'm not in any way even remotely affiliated with purepwnage (I wish!), in fact I never even posted on those forums very often, but I wanted to create this fan club because what's the point of being a nerd if you can't just geek out about things like your favorite internet character every now and then?
