Kim Chul Min, who left the e-Sports scene due to MBCGame's closure, is joining OnGameNet casting crew for the upcoming Proleague.
OnGameNet revealed on the 15th that "Kim Chul Min caster will cast one match every week from both SK Planet StarCraft2: Wings of Liberty Proleague (T/N: that is the official name now, they decided to pick this.) and Special Force 2 Proleague'. He is going to be introduced on the 20th, the first day of Proleague season 2.
Kim Chul Min, who's been the head caster of MBCGame, was responsible for and casted many mainstream e-Sports matches. Though he did take a break from the e-Sports scene before due to his health conditions (stomach cancer), he overcame the cancer and received many cheers from fans when he returned.
OnGameNet commented "In order to provide colorful, yet different casting experience for the fans, we decided to bring in Kim Chul Min. This season, fans will be greeted by many different voices and different style of casting."
Kim Chul Min, who is now part of OnGameNet, said "I've never stopped thinking about e-Sports, even when I left the whole scene. I'll thank my fans with the best commentary/casting that I can provide at OnGameNet."
Meanwhile, all OnGameNet casters (T/N: Center caster, side casters are "Commentators") are going to cast the opening matches for the upcoming Proleague Season 2 opening day.
I didn't post the list of the commentators for the first day, but if you want me to, I can
Also, this is old news, but did you guys happen to know that Im Sung Choon from MBCGame has been a regular in I'm Carry (co-host)?
whose place will he be taking in the regular PL lineup then? or are they expanding the team?
They're expanding the team to 4 casters. Number of commentators are the same atm.
that seems like overkill....4 commentators sitting on the desk talking and making awesome moments.
No, as in 4 center casters instead of 3 center casters. It used to be only Jun Young Joon, Sung Seung Hun, and Jung So Rim for the center caster. Now we have additional center caster, Kim Chul Min.
