Woongjin's ZerO "I feel for you, free"
Q Thoughts on your first win this season. A I was already on a three-game losing streak this season, and it feels great to have finally broken that. It is a such a relief that I won. If I had lost, my mentality would have been affected, so I am grateful to finally break the losing streak.
Q Were you lined up to play in the 5th set. A Yes. The coaching staff told us earlier that they thought it would go to game 5, but I honestly felt like I wouldn't get a chance to play. Our team improved a lot compared to last season, so I expected a 3:1 win. Because I always lost in one of the first sets this season, we always went to game 5, so I expected us to win 3:1 without me losing in the first three games.
Q The teams were tied at 2:2. A Once the 4th players were announced, I started talking to Neo.G_Soulkey and prepared for game five. I trusted in free who played the fourth game, but just in case, I prepared to play. I was really hoping free would crush Jaedong and I wouldn't get a chance to play.
Q Were you relieved to know that Jaedong wasn't your opponent. A I've been on a losing streak regardless of my opponents' skill level, so I only focused on break the streak.
Q You met Jaehoon. A In the process of preparing for this match, I had good results against all three races. I felt like I could beat anybody. When the entries for the fourth game were announced, I knew the fifth player ha to be Jaehoon or Tyson.
Q Your losses were mostly from other teams' ace players. A I felt like I was more of a burden to our team than a contributing teammate, so I feel sorry towards our coaching staff and teammates.
Q In his last interview, Free said, "Zero is losing the battle for Woongjin's ace against Neo.G_Soulkey. A I hope he takes a look at his and sHy's results before saying something like that. You gotta look back upon yourself before attacking somebody else. I'm just kidding (laughs). Compared to Neo.G_Soulkey, it is true that I am behind in terms of results. However Free is also being outperformed by Shy. I just hope the oldies can stand their ground against the up-and-coming. I will take his words as message of encouragement. Recently, Neo.G_Soulkey hasn't been listening to us oldies like before. Even in practice, he only comes to me when he needs my help. At times like those, I hate his guts, but at the same time he is a cutie pie.
Q Any last words. A It's been so long since I last won, so I don't know what to say. I hope to continue winning and build a winning streak.
