European Gaming League presents our winter event EGL4 London, held at the magnificent Emirates Stadium, London on 29th to 30th of October. Starcraft II will boast an minimum prize purse of £2,000 ($3,100*) with a dedicated stage featuring StarCraft II exclusively throughout the weekend.

Casters
We are proud to announce our casting duo for EGL4 London; the British commentators Adrenal & Leon. With a representative of each race we will be bringing you uninterrupted commentary, interviews and coverage of the event throughout the weekend.

Adrenal started as a player/commentator back in later life of Warcraft3, with his ability to break down the game play of opponents he naturally took to analytical role while casting. While attending UK Starcraft 2 community events he jumped in the seat again casting three Twitch eSports Championship events.
MrBitter created his first show in December 2011 called “12 weeks with the Pros”, following the success of his show he went on to cast MLG Dallas and in July was announce as the new caster of ESL.tv. Recently he has been casting the Intel Extreme Masters circuit with his counterpart Rotterdam.
Leon started casting on his Youtube channel in late 2010, he then went onto casting local UK events alongside Adrenal, Early 2011 we would see Leon cast his first two big events I43 & Dreamhack BYOC as part of the GLHF.tv crew. Leon is a high masters Terran player and has regular experience playing and casting the UK players attending EGL4.
Format/Rules
EGL4 - Starcraft II is a 2 day NON-BYOC tournament with a 64 player limit.

Each player is responsible to supply the following equipment:
• Headphones.
• Inear Headphones.
• 3.5mm Audio jack extender.
• Mouse.
• Mouse mat.
• Keyboard.
• Identification with name & date of birth clearly displayed.

Map Settings
Category = Melee
Mode = 1v1
Game Speed = Faster
Player Settings
Players must disable battle.net notifications.
Set their status to busy.
Race Selection
Race must be selected at registration and can’t be changed during the event.
Restrictions
No hardware or software that allows a player to execute automatically more than one in-game action.
Stage Game
Specialist headphones will be required if your game is being played onstage.
Setup
Setup time is 15 minutes when first sitting at a station. Each player will be given two 5 minute extensions that can be used any time throughout the tournament, It is up to the players to make sure they meet setup times and notify admins of issues to be able to assist.
Notification Time
You are required to be at the admin station 5 minutes before your schedule play time.
Every 15minutes late of the notification results in 1 map default.
Penalties
Players will be given warnings for lateness or breaching rules, each case will be reviewed by the head admin and correct penalty or warning awarded.

No map must be played more than once per round.
Best of Three Selection
1) The player A and player B are determined by a coin toss.
2) Player A removes two of the 7 maps.
3) Player B removes two of the 5 remaining maps.
4) Player A chooses one of the 3 remaining maps. The second game will be played on that map.
5) Player B chooses one of the 2 remaining maps. The third game will be played on that map.
6) The neutral map is the last remaining map. The first game will be played on that map.
Grand Final Selection – Best of Seven
For Grand final match the map choice must respect the following procedure:
1) The player A advances from upper bracket with 2 map lead and player B from lower.
2) Player A removes one of the 7 maps.
3) Player B removes one of the 6 remaining maps.
4) Player A chooses one of the 5 remaining maps. The second game will be played on that map
5) Player B chooses one of the 4 remaining maps. The third game will be played on that map.
6) Player A chooses one of the 3 remaining maps. The fourth game will be played on that map.
7) Player B chooses one of the 2 remaining maps. The fifth game will be played on that map.
8) The neutral map is the last remaining map. The first game will be played on that map.

Format & Schedule are subject to change depending on sign ups (Amount of players attending)
Round 1) Group Stage – 16 Groups of 4 Players, Top two advance to playoffs.
Round 2) Playoffs – 32 participants, double elimination bracket.
Group Stage
Round 1 is Group stage round. In each group, participants meet each others in a Best of Three Format, Each game will reward the following group points -
• Win = 3 Points
• Loss = 0 Points
At the end of the group, the following criteria apply orderly to determine the distinct
position of each participant
1) Higher number of points obtained in all the group matches.
2) Higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the remaining tied participants.
3) Higher round difference obtained in the match played among the remaining tied participants .
4) Higher round difference obtained in the group matches played among the remaining tied participants.
5) Higher number of points obtained in tie-breaker matches played among the remaining tied; participants (tie-breaker matches are organized specifically for the occasion).
6) Higher score difference obtained in the tie-breaker matches.
7) Steps 5 and 6 are applied again until no participants are tied anymore.
Playoff Stage
Round 2 is a Double Elimination bracket with the advancing top 2 participants from each group will be placed into round 1 depending on their hidden seed. Each round will be Best out of Three until the Grand Finals being best out of 7 with the upper bracket player having a two map advantage.
Round 1) Group Stage – 16 Groups of 4 Players, Top two advance to playoffs.
Round 2) Playoffs – 32 participants, double elimination bracket.
