Alas we have reached the final chapter in the Nuketacular Bertrand Grospellier Saga. During his campaign he shattered Crystal (3-1), lynched Blackman (6-3), beautified Beast (4-0), and wrecked yours truly (7-0). To top off his term as the King of Liquibition he would have to beat the man that he shares bed sheets with, Smuft. Super Manner User For Toss lives in Korea and is a part of team white boy (The Dream and Us Team) with Elky and our humble site denizen. Can the Crimson Capped Canadian succeed in his attempt for a coup d'etat versus the Foxy Frenchman?

Game 1
Map: The Lost Temple
The Game: Terran vs Protoss (as were all other games in this series). Elky started at 12, Smuft at 3. Smuft opened with a fast 1 zeal 2 goon attack while Elky went for his 2 fac vult tank without a wall-in. Elky saw the early attack and put SCVs + rines in his choke to thwart the early attack. Smuft’s attack was surprisingly successful and killed the SCVs and rines but was then beaten back by a tank and vults that were hot off the assembly line. Smuft got obs and expanded then added 3 more gateways and went all goons. With smart goon usage, Elky's first attack was stopped. His next desperate attempt at a push with a shitload of SCVs and some vult/tank was once again rebuffed by Smuft's goons. Knowing Smuft's economy was thriving while his own was halved from his attack, Elky quit the game.

1-0 Smuft

Game 2
Map: Gaema Gowon
The Game: Elky started at 11, Smuft at 2. Elky opened with a fact/port build while smuft did 2 gate range goons with a relatively early expansion at 5 oclock's mins only. Elkys dropship of tanks did 0 damage but did buy him enough time to get his natural and 3 facts pumping. Smuft then took 5 oclock and then both players took their respective mins only's soon after that. Elky opted for a slow paced push and harass while Smuft kept his unit count high and went carriers. Peach colored Terran shit was oozing all over the mini map the whole game. Elky even killed Smuft's main but through systematic expansion-voiding-carrier-tactics Smuft mannerized an Elky who seemed to be playing perfectly.

2-0 Smuft

Game 3
Map: Plains to Hill (Desert)
The Game: Elky started at 1, Smuft at 5. Smuft opened with standard range goon/obs while Elky went for a gutsy quick M&M Tank attack build. Elky's build caught Smuft off guard and Elky waltzed right to Smuft's base with Smuft trying to delay him in order to buy enough time to get DT's. Elky constructed bunkers and a turret in Smuft's main and scanned before DT's could do any real damage. Smuft had an exp at 7 by now but there was nothing Smuft could do to penetrate the push in his main or even tickle Elky's main + exp.

2-1 Smuft

Game 4
Map: Neo Bifrost
The Game: Smuft's knowledge of Elky's style of play was hilariously evident this game. Elky started at 1, Smuft at 7. Elky did his gayness depot in choke and offensive rax float build. Smuft scouted for the rax with a probe and also scouted elsewhere with a 2nd probe. He found the rax and killed the SCV making it before it finished. Elky had sent a 2nd SCV to finish the construction but the 2nd probe arrived and they killed the SCV before the rax finished again. This one made me giggle.

3-1 Smuft

Game 5
Map: Jim Raynor's Memory (KPGA Jungle Version)
The Game: I'm not going to go into much detail but Smuft played PERFECT anti harass anti push this game. Every single one of Elky's attempts at vult raids or tank drops were nullified. Elky kept bringin’ it via vult/tank pushes but Smuft beat them back again and again and ended the game with carriers.

4-1 Smuft

Game 6
Map: The Lost Temple
The Game: Elky started at 9, Smuft at 3. Smuft went 1 gate goon obs with a fast expand while Elky did 1 fact in main and 1 proxy fact under 12 oclock. Once again Smuft manhandled the early attack and harass. Elky then took his natural and his mins only surprisingly fast. Smuft activated Reach mode and walked all over the French Farce once again.

5-1 Smuft

Game 7
Map: The Lost Temple
The Game: Elky started at 3, Smuft at 6. Smuft opened with a 2 DT drop that delayed Elky's exp and allowed Smuft to exp freely. Being slightly disadvantaged didn't dishearten our Hero and this game you could tell his was reeling with anger but still played flawlessly. Elky went exp exp exp macro mode while Smuft countered with the same as there wasn't much he could do to stop it at those positions. Elky proved to be much faster this game and his psi skyrocketed past Smuft's. Elky's push punked Smuft into submission as Smuft's last ditch carrier attack killed some exps. Smuft's carriers were finally stopped by goliaths right as all of Smuft's buildlings were being razed.

5-2 Smuft

Game 8
Map: Incubus
The Game: Elky started at 10, Smuft at 7. Elky used the same strat as he used in the Plains game. Smuft went 1 gate goon to exp and then 4 more gates and no robo. Once again with proper goon usage Smuft killed Elky's tanks first, then killed the rines using range superiority. Elky kept sending M&M/Tank/SCV but was eventually overwhelmed by goon/zeal/dt in another quick game.

6-2 Smuft

Rekrul's Rating of the games in this Match: 8 out of 10. I may be biased because I like seeing toss win...but Smuft played decisively and its not like Elky was playing anything short of his normal self.

The King of Liquibition has been overthrown to just about everyone's disbelief including me. The noodle cooking mastermind Smuft put Elky's reign to an end in an exacting fashion and displayed the true might of the Protoss race. Smuft's next opponent will be VeG[pG] aka Oem)Limeveg. I know I know...it will be another PvT liquibition but it should be a great match between two top Canadian players. I doubt many will get liquibet points for this but for any of you Elky dissidents it's your lucky day.

Stay Tuned~

Elky threw the series after being offered a high sum of money from the Liquibet Smuft voters~!! Well..not really, can;t believe he lost 6-2 though

Frozen you and me man ^^

btw I just watched the games. Holy fucking shit, I have never ever seen a toss outmicro a terran so thoroughly. It's not surprising that Smuft can go 6-2 when he can take out 4 vults with mines and 3 tanks while losing only 2 out of 6 goons. The whole series his goon micro, and in most games his carrier micro, was phenomenal. The lesson I learned? Everyone knows how gosu focus fire can be, but we still don't do it nearly as much as we should. Smuft's focus firing with goon/carrier made it look so easy to get cost efficiency vs terran metal.

I wonder if Elky was just microing badly that day or something, but if Smuft can do that to every terran, how can he not be one of the top 5 or even top 3 toss on earth; vs terran anyways?
