A poster makes a thread

It gets closed.

Teamliquid continues to have "every little thing posted" and continues to close threads that have actual information and not threads that is about something that has been discussed 100 times since the game came out.

Mandatory moderator PM for a closed thread. Seeing as over 70% of my threads with actual information or knowledge involved and given 0 reason why. <---My request.

When i see more then 1 thread on a page about "ladder fear, rage stories, trendsetters" and anyone trying to post anything other then mindless garbage has their posts removed. Trying to give back to TL community or attempting to post on TL is becoming a hellish hairpull. Maybe that's why all the pro's post on Teamliquid so much...

I did my best to give back to this community with builds/replays and posting a sponsorship which i was going to include that i was going to bring tournaments to TL/players who check the tournament tracker but unfortunately every single thread that ive posted in the past 2 weeks has been closed with no response.

It was most likely closed because it appears to be nothing but advertising for yourself. I wasn't the one who closed it but that's most likely the reason.

Do you have another example? I don't really get what you are trying to say beyond complaining about that particular thread being closed.

The amount you contribute doesn't validate the basic rules of topic creations and posts.

If the news is interesting or notable regarding how it may affect the Starcraft scene beyond the people directly affected, then it deserves a thread. Someone being sponsored by a major corporation for a short tournament was relatively new and groundbreaking at the time.

If the news only serves as an announcement of personal sponsorship and advertisement that has no implications to (part of) the Starcraft scene, then it must be closed.

As an analogy:
- A thread in the General section "I got a job" would be closed.
- A thread in the SC2 General section "I got a job at Blizzard" would remain open.
The former is only relevent to me. The latter has implications to the scene as a whole.

Ladder fear/rage stories/trendsetters = Discussable topics that affect or ask for input from the community.

You know, I always read things like this and think "maybe this guy got lost in the shuffle, let me see if I can help him out," but it's always, and I mean always a case where the OP like this one is being totally disingenuous about what's going on. I went through all these callously closed threads and here's the other side of the coin:

July 4th: You make a thread for a new replay pack even though you already have a thread for your replay packs.

July 6th: You make a thread for your stream even though you already have a thread for your stream.

Today: You make a thread advertising yourself and your own personal sponsor which conflicts with our advertising guidelines.

Today: You make this thread in website feedback even though you know there's a dedicated thread for topic closings because you posted in it 5 mins before making this thread.

I also noticed you've gone back and edited out all your replay packs out of spite. All this sure makes me feel like you're definitely in it for the community, and not for yourself.

I think you're just angry or confused as to how TL works. I'm not going to explain why the pros don't post on TL, but I am going to say you are wrong.

Also, trying to give back to the community is incredibly easy, what you are trying to achieve is very hard because you are taking advantage of the community.

I don't read website feedback often, but always enjoy it when it do. Some people just love to argue for what they think it right even though it clearly is not.
