I'm 28 years old and have been a member of TL for nearly a year (as you can see from my post count). I was a casual player in SC1, but up until now I've only been a spectator. In April 2011 I finally purchased a copy of SC2, but other than completing the single player, I just left the game alone... until last week.
Beginning last week, I've been getting the itch for some casual Starcraft 2 action in the name of the Swarm and so far, it's been strictly 4v4 for me. I have little interest in 1v1 and even less interest in becoming a pro. (There's room in the SC2 universe for us casual players too, right?) The point is, beginning last week, I began posting about my experiences as a brand new SC2 player through my TL blog. But unlike Blogger or Wordpress, It doesn't provide the kind of structure I wanted (like a Table of Contents). So I'm going to post that here.
In each episode, I try to keep it thematic revolving around something I've noticed in my play, my opponent's play, or the game in general. I've now decided to provide a minimum of at least 1 screenshot and 1 replay in each. And at the end of each episode, I always have a section for related questions that I need answering. (I think Episode 3 had a lot of good info about hot keys for Zergs, for example, a lot of which I've already included in my play.)

Hopefully these episodes will be slightly entertaining and (hopefully) this will be a record of my progress through the leagues. Like I said, as I write this, I've been a spectator of SC2 for nearly a year and I've only actively been playing for under a week. (Episode 1 literally begins just after I finished my 5 placement matches, landing into Silver.)
If you see anything in my play that I can improve upon through the replays that I post, feel free to post your comments here or in the blog threads. It would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully this question and answer format will help me be a better player. Keep in mind, that I believe a lot of the question I have are a lot of the same questions many other noobs have as well. If you answer my questions as I discover them, I bet you'll also be answering a lot of other players similar questions in the process.
(It should be said that in SC1, ~75% of my games were on BGH money maps.)
