This interview is made by playxp. This is my first time translating. Thought I might do some work for TL since there's 2'n half hours until today's matches.

Playxp: You saved ur team from big deficit. How does it feel with 4 kills?

July: When i heard oGsMC was up first, i thought he would do all kill eventhought our team was losing 2:4. Thought this would be an easy win, but unfortunately he lost after only 1 kill. I was surprised, but I had confidence in myself. I did not expect to do 4 kills though. I think i was lucky.

Playxp: You said previously your style of play will be strong against foreign players

July: I do not think there are player of my style. Since the SC:BW i was always confident against foreign players and I have not lost.

Playxp: Was your strategies planned ahead of time?

July: No, they were reactions to opponents strats. I wanted to show entertaining games, but i don't think they were all that entertaining. I did not want to lose. Eventhough 'fun games' are important, I thought winning was more important. So, i played seriously. I considered winning is 'fun' to watch.

Playxp: Which opponent was most difficult?

July: First match against White-Ra. The settings were not perfect. Even though i had enough time to prepare, it was my mistake. Last match was disappointing (against Dimaga) I believe i lost the last battle, because i lost my composure.

Playxp: No other players in Korean Team were able to make multiple kills:

July: I think because it was a showmatch; however, I thought they would win. Foreigners were not push overs. 'They are really different and play extremely well.' Those are the thought that came into my head. Starting tomorrow Koreans will show focused and serious games. I do not believe Koreans showed 100% of their games yesterday and today. Only i showed 100%. I also believe foreigners did not show 100% of their talent as well.

Playxp: Did you ask for any advice from ST_Ace and ST_Squirtle who attended IEM 5?

July: I did not ask for advice because i did not fear foreign players. I just wanted to face them.

Playxp: What were your thoughts after watching foreign players play?

July: I had a strong impression on MVP vs Dimaga match. Also against Nestea. I felt Dimaga is a strong player. I felt he played better in the last match, than against me. Dimaga felt like he is a player who gets better as he plays. I also felt TT1 played very well. Over all similar, but different apporach to the game. (shit... sorry i do not know if this is a correct translation).

Playxp: What do you think of foreign players' unorthodox style?

July: I do not think there's a much difference in terran and protoss. I think zerg is different though. People say terrand and protoss play style differ, but i do not see it to be in big extend. Just different in facing zerg.

Playxp: What do you think of tomorrow's matches?

July: Yesterday i wanted to go to sleep after practicing on the maps, but maps of the matches have not been announced. I hope they get announced soon. I hope in the future maps are announced ahead of time. I will be facing Nada tomorrow, so I was debating if I should show my strategies today. Anyway, I was out there as a representive of Korean players, so i played full strength. It was actually a good way to get ready for tomorrow. I will practice hard and win tomorrow.

Playxp: Any last words?

July: All the Korean players did a good job and looked good out there. I hope there are more of this kind of tournament in the future. I hope there's alot more exchange in strategies with foreign players. After playing with foreign players, I felt they are all nice players. I wish to play in foreign country in the future. Today has a been a great day and will be remembered as good memory.

Actual Interview:
+ Show Spoiler +

Thx for the translation.

Looks like he didn't lose his bw pride "never lose to a foreigner", you really saw he took those games 100% seriously lol.

He seems to be really really dedicated and focussed on sc2, like a real champion.

I've always been a fan of July. Some good quotes in there.

Always liked july. A lot of the comments about foreginers give the same kind of vibe as what july said, seems like they have respect for foreing players, but also always saying how their better than the foreigners.

I don't know if July's style will become more common or if other players will pick it apart in some time from now, but it at least makes me happy to see him do so well at the moment.

Also, I don't know, but perhaps add some sort of spoiler tags? There might be interested people who have yet to watch the VODs. Probably not many, but who knows.

Thanks for the translation!

Very cool, though I found it disappointing how he didn't even bother to talk to his teammates about the foreign players. I think it's fine if he is confident in his play, but they don't seem very tight knit if they didn't even talk for 10-20 minutes about foreigner play.

Read the title.

Its an interview about a match that was played last night.

If there aren't spoilers, well I'll be damned.

Spoiler tags are for UNEXPECTED spoilers.. not a freaking spoiler landmine like an interview thread.

Pretty much this. Honestly, if you don't want to get spoiled you should just stay off TL until you've seen the games.

Nice interview. I love how people say July isn't good, yet he makes it to the finals of GSL and beats White_Ra, Huk, Moonglade and Jinro all in a row.

I'm so glad that the Koreans didn't try again, just like they didn't try in TSL So nice of them to give us a handicap every time we play them.
