Whenever we try to play on Bnet we can't join each other's games due to latency errors.
We can use LAN, but do any of you know what the problem is when we try to play on Bnet with each other?

There is no solution to this problem, sorry.

My understanding is that the incoming data doesn't know where to go, and basically treats all you guys as just 1 connection. Well what people usually forget is that Starcraft is really old, and at the time of release, nobody was using routers or anything like that. It was just dial-up modems =] They could probably add that functionality in a patch I guess.

on any client machine (ie not the router/server) go to start->run->regedit and find this key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Battle.net\Configuration] and in there make a new DWORD key, name it "Game Data Port" and its value should be in decimal 6112 or 6113 and so on, a different value for each machine, then you have to set up the router to make those ports work on those IPs

Your mileage may vary I guess.

I have a similar problem: I am living in a dormitory and the system administrator simply wont open(forward) those ports for me. I tried changing the port in the registry but i dont know which ports i can use apart from 6112-6119 (which are filtered in my network). could u please tell me if i could use some other ports instead. thanks
