Right click your Comcast connection Go to Properties Click TCP/IP protocol Properties Find DNS field and input addresses. It's more complicated from behind a router but I'll get to that in about 45 minutes after I get back from class. Basically log in, input dns into router field that deals with it.

Click on Properties, NOT wireless properties. Under "This connection uses the following items:", click on Internet Protocol Version 4. Hit Properties below that box. Change the radio button from "Obtain DNS server address automatically" to "Use the following DNS server addresses." In "Preferred DNS server," enter 8.8.8.8

For whoever is on a Mac, go to System Preferences. Network -> Click on the connection you're on -> Click Advanced -> Click DNS then add Google's DNS address (also 8.8.4.4). Click OK then Apply. Roommates are on Macbooks, so yeah.

My call center alone was queuing over 2,000 internet-related calls. The inbound 1-800 number actually got so overwhelmed it was issuing out a busy signal when you tried to call it. Appeared to be a national issue, we had reports from all over the country (mostly east coast from what I saw).
