I know most players hate cheese but this build is so damn effective.
Build:
6pool
Drone
Scout when Drone finishes
3 lings when Pool is fininished, rally to his base
A few secs before the lings arrive, make the scouting drone into a Spine Crawler behind their mineral line. Preferrably where there is the least amount of space.
Defend the spine crawler with your lings. Once the crawler is up you have pretty much won.
This punishes anyone who goes for a late pool (12-15ish). Works best on bigger maps if the fail to scout it fast enough.
Dont forget to constantly reinforce with more lings.

12 pool is not late. It will actually finish around the same time your spine starts. If they invest some drones into fighting off your lings/spine, they can get their lings out as well as start up a spine of their own.

Even 14 pool is not too late to stop this. 6 lings don't do enough when the drones are pulled off the line and It only takes 4-5 workers to stop the crawler. By the time overwhelming reinforcements get there, I'll have a queen, some lings and a crawler going down.
Better to 10 pool.
