The question speaks for itself. Try to think in terms of the level of the players AT THE TIME the Groups were chosen.

Enjoy!

A lot of discussion lately (especially among some of the newer TL.net members) about how the current Gillette OSL Group A "must be" the most lethal Group of Death ever.

Sure, the current Group's stacked - but there were some pretty awesome ones in the past, as well.

Anyway, just for fun...

That may be.

But, it shouldn't be. There are several that stand out equally. The trick is to judge by contemporary standards. Not as easy or clear-cut as one might first think...

Nada (T), Boxer (T), Foru (P), Junwi (Z) (Olympus OSL - April 2003)

Major powerhouses at the time. Boxer was still considered the best by many, and as was nada. At this time, Junwi as known as the ZvT God and Foru as the PvT God. They were so feared, that some thought these terrans wouldn't make it out of the group. What made this group the all time best over the other awesome groups of deaths have to do with the group selection. I mean look at it! Nada has the first pick after winning his first OGN title so he bolding picks Boxer to prove himself. Boxer, knowing the power of Foru's PvT, picks Foru to counter Nada (Foru is also known to have anti-nada antibodies as he ALWAYS beats him), and Foru, seeing 2 scary looking terrans, picks the Terran Killer Junwi. That was amazing amazing group picking.

The reason Yellow (Z), Nal_rA (P), Nada (T), Chojja (Z) (MyCube OSL - August 2003) doesn't get my vote is because of that one match where it was really fishy by the KTF players.

Reach (P), ElkY (T), HOT (Z), Nada (T) (Panasonic OSL - November 2002)
I just thought back in the old days... then this! This was when all these players were at their prime Reach SKY 2002, ElkY 4th SKY 2002, HOT 2nd NATE 2002 and NaDa was starting at his peak.
I got none.....

Reach (P), Gundam (T), Yellow (Z), TheMarine (T) (Coca Cola OSL - June 2001) For thier time id say they where the deadliest, these days theres so many groups and people peaking/slumping, moving groups, new players makes it hard to say if any of them stand out -_-;

Really only Marine who stood out in that group at the time. Reach has not yet made his claim to fame (he waited untill SKY 2001, then he massacred the "invincible" boxer on silent vortex.

Yellow was a new kid in town in coca-cola, and even tho he had a great gamei rep, nobody really knew.. Gundam was not yet bamboo terran, he also claimed much of his fame during SKY 2001. (yes, he was around, but not a "big fish").

But that group in an OSL nowadays, now that'd be deadly!

I agree with you...but I still think Klogon was right about the Nada, Boxer, Junwi, forU group being the worst. Your selection is definitely second.
I have returned.
