Game Over! Mafia Win!
I am following the ban list.
Signups may start, but I am not planning to start this game until I have set it up correctly.
Mafia is an educated guessing game of epic proportions
I am running this solely for Foolishness
Thanks to Chuiu for the rules and definitions of the roles I am using
I have edited out clues, as I am not doing clues, so if the op still mentions clues ignore it. I am trying to erase everything I dislike.
Rules: (they are all subject to change before the start of the game!)
General game rules:
1. Once you are dead you may not post anything at all. People are getting irritated with dead people talking so sorry but dead people are now forbidden from talking during the game. People not playing are advised not to post in the thread also. Moderators please help out with this where you can, if players insist on continuing to post I'll just ban them from playing the game again.
2. Try to keep posting mafia game related, the thread gets hard to read and annoying when there are 12 posts of spam per 1 post of actual content. (LOL no spamming in a BM game... )
3. You may abstain. You may vote from no lynch. You must vote SOMETHING or fear flamewheel's lightning
4. you may pm
5. there are no clues
6. DO NOT POST YOUR ROLE PM
7. DO NOT POST ANY PM I SEND YOU UNLESS YOU ASK. paraphrasing is moderately ok.
Voting rules
1. You must post your vote in this thread. Do not PM or IM it to me.
2. You must clearly declare your vote ie: 'I vote for X'. "vote: name" whatever. bold it.
3. You can not autochange your vote to the losing or winning bandwagon.
4. You cannot vote for yourself or anyone dead or outside the game.
5. In the event of a tie the person with the most votes first wins over the other person.
6. You may abstain, but must let me know: ie: 'I abstain from voting'.
7. If you vote for double lynch you must vote for a player, or already be voting for a player, or you will automatically abstain.
8. If majority is reached at any time, the person is lynched.

If you don't vote, or abstain at the least, I will be forced to modkill you, not with lightning, but with spam.

The Town:
Townie - You are just a normal player. Your goal, with the special roles of the town, is to help bring the Mafia to justice. You get no special powers but the ability to vote during day.
Detective - You may, during the game, ask for the role of a specific player at night. You will get back their role/alignment unless they are the miller/godfather.
Medic - You have the ability to prevent one hit on a player of your choice during the night. You must notify me of the player you wish to choose anytime during the day. You can only stop one hit and as such if the number of mafia is greater than the number of medics on a player then that player will die. You will know if you saved the person. The person will know if he was saved. The town will know nothing of the event. You may not self protect.
Vigilante - You may, only once during the game, kill a player of your choice during the night. You may not do so night 1.
Mad Hatter - You have 2 bombs to place. You may only place one per night. You may choose to move your bombs from player a to player b. You may not have two bombs on the same person. If you are lynched, or killed during the night, your bombs explode. If someone kills one of your targeted players during the night, you regain that bomb, but if they are lynched, you lose that bomb.
Veteran - Ya got 2 lives ya dig?
Miller - The miller is an outsider to the town. He is just like a regular townie except that when a Detective role checks him he will show up as being Mafia. He has no special abilities and will not know of his role.
The Mafia:
Mafia - Your goal is to eliminate everyone else in the town. Your ability, as a group, is killing off whomever you decide on at night and knowing the role of each other player in the mafia. You may not kill other mafia. Mafia killing power is decided after signups are closed and will be shown next to the mafia count in the player count lists.
Godfather - The Godfather has the ability to decide what role he will appear to be when a Detective role checks him. It must be any role, but must be chosen day one, or he will default to townie role. After your role is chosen, you may not change it after that.
Suicide Bomber/Infested Terran - You may choose to "explode" on your target, taking them out with you. You will also kill anyone who is visiting that player in the night (medics, detectives, mad hatters, mafia buddies, etc.)
Double Lynch - Usable twice per game, the next day the town lynches two people instead of one. This means everyone gets two votes to distribute between two different people. The double lynch is elected by everyone. The vote must exceed half the number of players voting that day. IE: If there are 22 players voting then the town needs over 11 votes to use a double lynch. Double lynches may be used anytime.

Umm the way you wrote the detective, it only gets 1 rolecheck. "you may do so once in the day, or once in the night." So you get 1 rolecheck during the day or 1 rolecheck during the night for the whole game?

Though I'd like to, this month is all chopped up for me, so I'll only be around in bits and pieces. Don't want to go inactive so I'll sit this one out.
