Feeling high and mighty after the results of the previous nights murders, the town had found a newly instilled sense of confidence. A single man stood on the platform of the gallows with a small black sack covering his face, making him appear headless in the pitch black night. The torches of the angry mob that stood before him danced in the dark sky like fireflies, dancing a gruesome dance as the executioner walked up the steps of the gallows. The man with the bag on his face shuddered and cried out for help only to be met with malevolent jeers from the bloodthirsty Liquidvanians. "Any last words?" the burly executioner grunted in inquisition. There was no reply. The executioner sighed and wrapped the noose tightly around the mans neck. The crowd grew louder and louder, sure that in just seconds another vampire would be dead. The lever was pulled and Veldril fell to his death, his green blood spilling to the floor. The crowd was silent. They had been played. Upset that they had been fooled, stampeded across the Liquidvanian town center. Three innocent Liquidvanians were trampled to death in the mob. The scum of the town were overcome with delight as they set about to cause more murder and mayhem. This time they would bring the town to their knees. Veldril the Zombie has been killed.
