This shit's awesome, but I think 1st place directly into code S is a bit much. I feel like code A should always me a mandatory path to take. I honestly believe the skill level and difficulty in code A + up/down is much harder then winning the MLG. Plus, who are you gonna kick out of Code S? How is it fair to that player to not have a chance/as many chances of staying as the others do in the up/down?

Awesome news. If I'm not mistaken, there was a bit of a backlash against GOM when 4 foreigners were seeded into code A. Now they're going to be seeding people into code S, from a tournament which is probably quite easier than doing code a qualifiers + code a + up&down...I hope it doesn't piss people off too much. Korean netizen reactions anyone?

great news. hopefully now MLG will completely revamp the way they run their tournaments and get rid of the championship bracket and extended series

are the top non-koreans who are paid to fly out and compete in the GSL only offered a spot in the gom house for a month? what if they are able to stay in code a or code s.
