Be careful not to burn yourself out. Sometimes playing non-stop can be counter productive if you aren't in a good mental state to learn from your mistakes.

I re-watched the games vs Oz now that the hype has subsided, and I believe her play is the real deal. Almost no excess money, even on 5 bases?
Edit: instead of ? I mean !

@Scarlett: Be careful, you don't wanna ramp up the training so much so fast. As said above, you can burn yourself out, or worse, you can mentally screw yourself. Try increasing your regiment steadily over a period of time, like increase by an hour a week, or even a half hour. Also, remember to rest your mind. Giving yourself rest gives your body and mind more energy (and a positive mental attitude, usually) to put back into your work, meaning you get more out of it!

I found myself refreshing a few people's pages way too often. Not hipster enough. Brb, buying skinnier jeans. Also to get back on topic a bit, that crowd shot (of the pros) after Scarlett's game was indeed pretty dope. I'd say the more prominent reaction was the "Holy jeez, wtf just happened"
You can only wear skinny jeans if you are too fat to pull them off.

I got huge respect for this girl. Please sign me up as well.
Scarlett, you mentioned you like. Russian pop (I like t.a.t.u as well!) and in one of the interviews I believe you said your name is Sasha? Are you originally from Russia? I govorish li ti po Russki?
Edit: You are such inspiration for all of us who are trying to get good at this game but may be lost hope or not sure how to improve

I guess I'll need to find something else. I'd check some hipster blogs or something but they've probably moved away from those silly mainstream blog sites like tumblr. And of course soon they'll all be departing from the internet entirely to go live in caves (because they're so underground. Get it?!)

Is that how you achieved your platinum ranking? I'll definitely follow your advice since you are so accomplished. Sorry for the sarcasm in a fan club thread, but giving advice to people that are better than you and are doing something that obviously works for them is ridiculous. You don't get to that level by leading a "balanced" life btw, but by playing obsessively.

i didnt want to go to university this year and thought about going pro for awhile now (because of how well i was doing while new/with fairly little practice) but only recently started working towards it - when i came back from dota late february this year

i played around 60 games in 1 day like 2 weeks ago and it did burn me out for a day after that but i think i have more motivation now so i can practice harder ~

No, I achieve my platinum ranking by barely playing at all.
It's not just SC advice, it's general advice for all things that require a great deal of effort. Thank you for being an ass, though.

Ah that's cool I am Ukrainian as well but moved to the USA 7 years ago.
I am wondering do you ever get ladder anxiety? This seems my biggest problem. I like the game and want to improve but sometimes I just don't want to log in. Any advice on how to overcome it? Thanks you are so awesome for answering our questions when you got time

(Question from a friend who doesn't have a TL account)
Do you have any advice for creep spread? You spread really well, and he's wondering if that's just speed or if you have a specific method.
I've told him to try hotkeying his leading tumor, using a screen hotkey, or just having a designated creep-pooping queen and remembering to make one every inject cycle, but he says that messes him up too much (he's only silver).

Not SC2 related but:
What is your favorite tv show?
And I am guessing "Lost and Delirious" with Piper Perabo is one of (if not) your favorite movies based on the quote on your posts.

the most important thing i feel is to make sure to put the tumour as far as you can onto the edge of the creep (helps to have good mouse accuracy - very important in sc2) ; this lets me spread creep faster than many pros even when i have less apm/less tumours than them

Add me to the list!
Thanks much for spending so much time here, talking to your fans, Scarlett. This is one Torontonian who hopes you'll indeed be fraternising with the new fans at the NASL finals in our dear city.
I likewise endorse a (tactfully handled) paypal fund for buying a new rig, since it only makes sense to get folks following you via streaming, at this point, and there are plenty enough who'd like to help dilute the necessary setup costs.
