Stats as well as past games show that you're pretty much flat out wrong on both accounts.

The Shine hate is just fanboyism gone wrong. Here we have a player that has really performed through the entire OSL and earned his spot as a semi finalist, and fanboys of Bork are crying because he won against both of them. On top of that he is a calm and respectful player. I really hope he looks on his OSL run as the accomplishment it is, rather than being too disappointed in losing to someone with such good PvZ as Movie. Go Shine!
I'm happy that Movie won because I really like him as well, and I'd rather see Flash get tested in the finals vs Protoss than to see him rolling another Zerg with his FvZ.

UpMagic is one of the better TvP players. He is one of the few terrans like Flash that still do timing push. Timing push is an incredible skill for terran players. Most terran are content with macroing off a 3rd which allow protoss to eventually overwelm them. UpMagic and Flash can sense when to attack before the situation gets out of control. With timing push, if terran don't deal enough damage, terran will be so far set back that they basically lost the game from there.
