So happy this came out BUT in all honestly I was majorly disappointed. It felt just like a big interview of the players. I think we need more of the behind-the-scenes views, more on how teams react to big wins/losses. Some really DEEP personal issues that some of the players went through becoming pro's. So I guess I am a with everyone else but hopefully we can get another documentary showing this.

I just finished watching it and a many others already has said, its more fan service and feels like a series of interviews than an actual documentary thag gives a complete picture of SCII and TL. Given then time and the amount of people that was producing it its great and anyone that likes Starcraft II and Esports should watch it. However it is not an documentary, a person who never seen SC2 or Esports won't get the context of what SCII is about. Overall it was good though.

Just to kind of Echo what a lot of people have said, a girl I know watched it because she wanted to learn more about it since I like SC2 so much.

But she said she left with no real understanding of the sport, and while the people she liked, she didn't get a sense of what they were playing or doing.
She didn't understand TLO being 'injured' at a video game.
She liked Sheth, (She hated HuK...dumb girl)

But she said the only part she got a sense of what they were playing for was 'The red haired Asian guy'
Hero winning Dreamhack and shaking and stuff hit home.

So ya, I loved it 'cause I know the guys, the background and stories. But as an extrenal viewer she had no concept of the size of tournaments or prize money etc... until like 50 minutes into it on Hero's part.

I think once stuff like StarNation is out and a few others, We'll be glad to have the Documentary style, the interview style, the character study style etc... but I think in a way its unfortunate this one came out first. Because we kind of all wanted the big 'StarCraft!' documentary to show people around us.

So ya, not at all what I thought it'd be, but I've still watched it 3 times

It would be nice to hear what TEAMLIQUID thought of their own documentary?...

Agreed, that was my favourite part of the whole video.

Overall a bit disappointing, for the reasons a bunch of other people already stated. It doesn't really give interesting insights. It stays "in front of the camera" so to speak. I want stuff you usually don't get to see. Even shows like State of the Game give a better "behind the scenes" look than this movie. Sorry, but I can't shake the feeling I paid to watch a company's advertisement / product-lineup presentation video.

Not really a documentary, it had really nice graphics and stuff but the actual content was very unclear and somewhat forced because it was made up of the players statements and answers which doesn't necessarily guarantee that the content will be good, i.e a lot of the answers were just confusing and irrelevant.

It felt more like a "15 minutes with every TL Pro" exclusive interview-bonanza rather than an actual documentary that DOCUMENTS something.

I'll rate it with a "Meh" because of way too much hype and expectations.

Sad times. I wanted to donate, but it would never take my debit card for some reason ( I also tried a Visa $50 gift card, but it said the address didn't match. ಠ̯ಠ Oh well. Know I wanted to give you $20 TL!

I liked it.

I liked the few bits where players got past the safe comments and revealed some things about the struggle that is being a progamer. I liked all bits where you see players interacting. It could have used more of that, but maybe that's just my preference. I liked the ethical question of whether HuK should be allowed back on TL should he so desire. If anything, I appreciated Nazgul's comments since he is less of a public figure then some of the players.

I liked the documentary a lot. I never expected much about the game itself honestly it was always presented as being about Team Liquid. There's other documentaries coming out about SC2 itself and I'm looking forward to those as well. I think it did feel a little short on some parts but you've got to cover quite a few people and you can't have a 3 hr long documentary. Oh and I really enjoyed the music, downloading some of it now!

Good Job!

Great documentary! Best segment IMO was Hero's and the rivalry between Liquid/EG. "I can always win MLG next year" :D TLO always cracks me up

I liked the production value and the music and stuff, but i totally do not understand who the target audience for this "documentary" should be?

- Die hard teamliquid fans? Obviously not, because 90% of the content was known before to the real fans.

- Esport Outsiders (Parents, Friends, etc..)? I think not, because the film does not explain anything in regard of what a pro esport team really is or does, or how it works, nor is explained what esport really is all about. It certainly does not function as a device to teach other people about esports, like "hey i'll watch this with my gf and then she'll understand what i do for 3 hours every evening".

- Casual gamers that shall become new TL fans? Don't think so either, because there is way to less "FUCK YEAH"-moments in it, which would convice people of how badassly awesome tl really is. The whole thing is just way to modest for that. I have seen 10-minute-quake-fragmovies after which i sat there stoked by the awesomeness of a player, and those clips were done by amateurs.

So technically i find it done really well. But for the die-hard fans its way too less "behind the curtains", for esport-outsiders its way too less informative and explanatory and for casual games its way to modest and calm to get them hyped up.

So who is it made for?
