The following is a list of behaviors that will get immediate bans:
1. Whining about stream 2. Bashing other games 3. Flaming other users 4. Bashing players 5. Complaining about imbalance
Basically just be respectful. Aside from that, enjoy the games, make sure you bring an umbrella and have some delicious waffles! (#) |

Were you complaining when MC was winning GSLs with 6gates almost every game PvZ?
no i wasnt, because T figured out how to beat it within one GSL and the strat hardly works anymore. 1-1-1 still hasnt found a specific counter for quite awhile, and takes very little apm to pull off. kiwi could have won that, but his bad engagement led to his loss. maybe the immortal range buff will actually make PvT not imbalanced when T does 1-1-1.

He also didn't have to engage there when all tanks were already sieged .. at least engage when some tanks are not sieged when he tries to move forward
can you cite some examples of holding a nexus when facing a 1/1/1? I'm zerg and not so aware of the TvP meta, but to quote TT1 when replying earlier to someone else who suggested canceling the nexus was a poor choice, "lol."
agreed on the poor engagement, and delay though.

Let me lay it out for you since you clearly dont know how the game works. The longer he stalls the bigger the economic advantage he has because puma pulled half his scvs. Hopefully you can understand the math behind it now or you have no hope. 1. MULES 2. He can't just delay until he has a couple collos to kill marines, the longer he delays the more marines the T has that the P can't deal with efficiently with tank support until collos.

That, or wait until he has enough Phoenix to both attack the Banshees and pick up the siege tanks. What he did was pretty bad, in my opinion he was in the position to defend with proper control Basically this is a bad example to show "how OP" 1/1/1 is. We need good execution/decision making from P to judge wether it's op or not.
AKA just because it wins 99% of the time in actual games doesnt mean I cant fend it off in my head!

The only reason why he didn't want to 1/1/1 in the first place is because he's gonna get a lot of hate for it because at least the Korean fans know it is imbalance. Only the foreign fans are clueless and think the fault always lies with Protoss even though there is a mountain of evidence proving otherwise. I agree, it seems like it says a lot about Kiwikaki's skill if Puma resorted to pulling out the 1/1/1.

Kiwi did not counter that build and he wasnt even expecting it since he put up a nexus that he later cancelled. :-D :-D :-D :-D I am Masters terran and I still think its a little bit too strong...have someone even ever held it, if he didn't know its coming, like 3 gate exp doesnt work, 3 gate robo neither, 4gate + robo + stargate may... we can easily get back the 5 raxx reaper vs. Z and terran it all the way!! But than it wud be all TvT's and blue flames :-D...
A player that dont know the 1-1-1 is coming deserves to lose. The force of the 1-1-1 lies in it being "scoutable" and not easily countered even still.

Either don't cancel the nexus, or drop a robo bay after a few pheonix, or get blink, whatever. But yeah, in that situation, it was silly to just mass units and try to attack into siege tanks pity yea it's so simple it's amazing kiwi walked into a tournament with a build he dedicated specifically to countering the 1/1/1 and didn't think of something you thought up in a couple of minutes.
you must be a genius of some sort.

Kiwi chose a build that's.... strange, but could have worked.
He was going for zealot/immortal/phoenix, but then got nervous at the increasing marine count and chose to engage awfully. He needed to adopt a sort of Zerg player mentality when he engaged...
- Immortals target tanks - Zealots a-move - Phoenixes flank around back and PICK UP TANKS
Seriously, people are qqing about marines but tanks do SO much damage, once the tanks die you can warp in stalkers to kite everything else. Kiwi knows he should've won that.
He tried to do tht. The problem was tht he needed to flank with his immortals on the other side becuz the FFs prevented him from getting to the tanks (thts why his immortals were dancing around).

It was actually not soo clever, but PuMa totally played it out in wrong fashion even though it worked. If he would have stayed back, added more barracks and a few medivacs to his 4 banshees.. there's no way of holding it as Protoss since as you get more marines they get insanely powerful as the zealots don't even get close - because you miss AoE, thats why Protoss cannot defeat Terran (in a normal game, not 1-1-1 without AoE) marine DPS is just so powerful.
But PuMa decided to attack anyways, thats why it was kind of close.

At least MVP is a person who depends on his skill to carry him through. Much respect for MVP. No respect for puma.
From MVP interview: Q: You've said some things about Terran balance on Twitter recently. (laughs) A: 1-1-1 is very strong. Because it has a lot of applications, it's really powerful. It's extremely difficult for Protoss. Even though it's really strong, I've rejected the 1-1-1 and don't use it in my games. (laughs) Fans have a lot of different reactions to the 1-1-1, but players can't help it. Don't progamers have to win? You have to understand how important it is. [T/N unsure on this last sentence, sorry. seems like MVP admits it is strong but thinks fan backlash is a little too harsh]
Must be fun being wrong I guess.

Why not sit back a bit more and get out a ton of more units and overwhelm Puma. yea he should have stalled for as long as possible, the more he delays the attack the stronger his compo becomes because of immortal/phoenix get really strong vs pumas composition the higher they get in number, that and he had a better eco so stalling would have allowed him to pump more units.. basic math t.t i think he just got anxious and just engaged without thinking, should have just forced puma to slowpush his way towards his base so could have bought himself as much time as possible
Doesn't work like that exactly lol Marine numbers increase in effectiveness exponentially, the longer you wait on 1 base, the more impossible it becomes to hold the marine portion without AoE.
You need to 1 gate (w/ or without) robo expand, and stall to allow your econ advantage to kick in and hold it with a similar composition kiwi had (zealot immortal sentry heavy), then use stalkers to clean up banshee and whatever is left.

What if kiwi had made fewer phoenixes, but added a void ray.
and charged it up on the gold rocks while stalling Puma in the middle.
what about that?
