Any news on how the AZK guys are doing?
Most of us are in shock and most are just trying to get some rest. As for me, I'm still at work and trying my best to monitor what's happening.
As far as I know, no one from the group has been compensated, yet.

Thread title only represents one person, and one person alone.

Could you provide more details on what went on?
- Were any AZK/ PPSL staff paid? - Was Tastosis/ Allyn/ cheeky /etc paid? - Is it true there was insufficient RAM on the PC's?

you basically said that there was no funding for every wrong thing that you did. If there was not enough money to fly out YoonYJ why was there enough to fly out MoonGlade if he joined your team???

about the computers, afaik one problem was that there were 2 drivers installed on them, so it caused a conflict or something. i don't really understand, but that was the explanation given to me during the event.

Why in the heavens would you even compare Xeris to this guy? NASL has paid all of their prizemoney, and Xeris has always been an active poster around here about whats happening.. You mentioning him by name in this context is disgraceful You phrased this better than I could have and completely addressed my thoughts. Solid post ELA, I agree 100% Xeris should not have his name muddied by comparison. there's no question that xeris did wrong, and he did say this guy beats him by lightyears (that means a lot if you didnt know LOL). dont get what there is to complain about

You should PM Chill or one of the mods to change the title to something more accurate add a disclaimer etc after atleast Lo3 is done..

This is entirely bullshit! I was the one who fixed the framerate issue on day 1. The PCs provided by the sponsors were more than enough to run SC2. As soon as I figured out what the problem was, I ran SC2, played the game at Ultra settings @1080p, framerate never dropped and even got as high as 160+. I did however limit the framerate to minimum 30 and maximum 60 which is all that's needed anyway. And about the RAM issue, the computer only used 1.2GB of RAM during all that test.
Was Tastosis/ Allyn/ cheeky /etc paid? This I do not know.

Seems that Gus hasn't gotten back to Slasher about getting onto Lo3. He went AWOL as soon as he said he'd go on and Slasher hasn't been able to get onto him.

You spending your money on teammates and god knows what else is not a 'funding problem'. That's you being a fucking tool. Breaking contracts and commitments isn't covered by an 'I'm sorry', nor is it the result of being inexperienced. From the sounds of it, most of AZK's management needs to get the fuck out of eSports (and anywhere else with responsibility/power). AZKwitchdoc: you're cancer, go away.

Thanks for the info... I have more questions if you don't mind?
-Were the booths sound proofed(from the start)? -What is the deal with the casters having to hold microphones rather than having headsets? -What was the bandwidth for your ISP?

Exactly what Pobbes said. I'm sorry bro that your experience was as good as I have hoped.
I had no control over the situation, not until I got on the event itself where I was actually able to troubleshoot the problem.
To the community
Before jumping to conclusions and start blaming someone about the driver conflict, I and my partner had no way to get it fixed before the event started as it wasn't us who did the installation of the software. And I am 100% not blaming the tech guys that the sponsors provided as it is not their fault.
I am still compiling my experience of the event and I will post a more detailed picture of what really happened.
I tried to stay silent as I have hoped that Gus would at least communicate with us and not leave us hanging by a thread, but so far, nothing. So here I am.

I even had no idea that there was a problem with the booths, not until I read it here. I was too busy handling the framerate drop issue. Removing the conflicting driver didn't resolve the problem and we had to resort to reinstalling the whole thing.
-on the casters, I was even surprised when I saw them on stage holding microphones, I even asked one person (can't remember the name), and he responded "did they ever have headsets?" I was like "okay."
The agreed bandwidth with the ISP sponsoring the event was 8mbps down and 8mbps up, I think this was mentioned by John on his post, I'm not sure. Now, when we were running tests, the downspeed was running at an average of 2-5mbps and up was at 7.xxmbps, do note that I am not in charge of streaming and I don't know if upspeed was sufficient to run a decent stream, what I do know is that 2-5mbps is more than enough to run a game of starcraft with no lag issues at all.

Sounds like you guys are really trying to make things right. I'm hopeful that AZK will come out on top. Band together, keep your head up, and move forward.
