Luckily for us the club is near the coast in my city and the Naval prefecture was patrolling around and saw us getting picked apart and they came into the fight (they have guns on them and are wearing "army" clothes) so the other guys ended up running away. Would've been probably bad if that kept going on for a longer time. Caix? There are always hordes of rugbiers there looking for an excuse to kick some heads in. The girls aren´t even that fly. A waste of time if you ask me.
Yeap.

Yeah, I've been in a bunch of not-really-serious fights, and 1-2 serious ones. The thing that isn't really obvious from hollywood is how unbelievably easy it is to get hurt. I'm 6'0, 190 pounds (athletic), and I occasionally go to the local mma gym to spar and train, but wow, you get punched once in the face hard, and you're done.
Street fights are fucking scary too because things escalate really quickly. It's always best to avoid fighting unless you are in real danger, and then you should just try to end it as quickly as possible - there is no honor or "good manners" when your life is at risk.

Some guy in my home city just died in a fight outside of a bar. He wasn't even involved, but some punk sucker punched him to the pavement and killed him. The dudes now serving time for manslaughter.
I punched a kid backwards into a community pool when I was about 10. He started it - we both got kicked out.
Closest I've come recently was at my little brother's apartment party. Some drunk and underage football players tried to crash us and tried to start a brawl when we kicked 'em out. Both my brother and I were sober and have our CCW's, so that put a stop to the situation right quick.

+ Show Spoiler +On December 10 2010 05:44 nbMifu wrote: For people who are trained in martial arts (I have some training too, not a lot though) it may be tempting to enter a street fight. Once in a while we find some stupid people who may deserve a beating, and when we are training like statix mentioned, we feel really confident. But if you calm down and thing straight, you will realize that most of the times entering a fight will not be benefitial for no one.
Once the following happened to me: I was going back home from my University. I had to cross a bridge to get to the subway station. It was about 10 in the night (after classes I practice Taisan Kung-fu, so I end up going home late). And I live in São Paulo, not the safest place.
So, when crossing the bridge alone, two suspicious looking guys about my age came in my direction. I instinctly put my guard up just before one of them tried to grab my bag. They kept asking me to give them my things. I remember I was very confident in my skills and knew I could take them in a fight. I also knew they most likely did not had a gun with them (living most of my life in Brazil thaught me to Identify such things heheh).
What happend is that by being confident about my safety, I was able to stay calm and think about what was the best action I should take. I then kept my defensive position and said I woudn't give shit to them. After insisting two or three times they gave up and went away without a fight.
I was happy they did not try to steal me, because if they did I would have to beat them. The problem is, they most likely live in the favela behind my University, and I use that bridge 5 times a week. Had I beat them, they would probably get mad, and perhaps get some friends or even a gun and wait for me the next day. I would have to change my schedule and go home another time, or by a different route. The way it went, they alerady forgot my face, and I forgot theirs.
Edit: I forgot to mention that some dude tried to steal me the following week in the same place. But I just had to say no once and he was like kthksbye
TLDR: People who know how to fight may get tempted to beat Idiots. But their skill should actually allow them to be calmer, think straight and avoid fighting when possible
Thats actually pretty impressive.
Last time I got in a fight, someone had tried to steal my mates phone. I told him to give it back and he hit me. It ended up being mostly kind of grappling and rolling around. Got broken up when street security wandered over.
Got the phone back though!

I don't call it a fight since it was brief and one sided but some drunk skinny paul bunyan-wannabe hipster dude tried to punch me at a bar because I was talking with his girl. I had only been there five minutes and hadn't even gotten a drink yet. His girl sat next to me and started chatting with me. Caught him in my peripheral vision doing some retard flailing haymaker swing that took a year to reach me so I dodged it. He started talking trash so I just shoved my chest-high barstool into him to create a barrier. The girl slapped the shit out of him then they left. rofl. The main bartender there is a childhood friend of mine, he just laughed.

Nope, but i went to a high school where if there was a fight you knew about it because an ambulance usually would be brung over and kids being carted off tot he hospital. And the police come and crap but i never felt threated in the school most of that crap was between groups of people usually gangs but that what happens when you have a school with 5k+ students. Also i think now there is another school that they refurbished to send the bad kids to.

Become a gun owner its not that you have to use it just as long as they know you have one. Street fights and scuffles can end up real bad especially if they have a weapon, fighting is something that should be considered last resort just because you never know.

Never really gotten in a fight, mainly because like others have said, I'd prefer to just let it be.
However, back in 7th grade, these three douchebags come up to me in the bathroom while I'm pissing in one of the urinals. These guys are always harassing me and my friends, thinking that since we're nerds, we won't do shit about it. Normally, this is the case, though out of all my friends, I was really the only one to ever stand up to them. Clearly, this pissed them off.
So, when they came in, I thought to myself; awesome, these fuckers again, what shit are they gonna pull this time? One of them, the "leader", if you will, keeps on trying to turn me around, while I'm still fucking peeing, saying something that I don't remember anymore but it was really getting me angry. Once I was done, I zipped up, and he tried turning me around again. This time I let him turn me around and then punched him in the face. His two buddies ran away instantly, and he fell to the ground. Washed my hands, dried them, and walked out. About two minutes later he walked out and didn't say a thing about it. I was kinda surprised that he just fell like that, I have no upper body strength and weighed ~100 pounds at the time.
Needless to say, me nor my friends have never had any problems with him or his group. :D

Playing basketball one evening with my friends in a not so nice area. Couple of guys came up-- they were just basicLly looking for trouble and up to no good. Long story short I got tossed in circles over his head and my mom found out.. Had me move in with my aunt and uncle just because of one little fight... She got scared I guess.
Anyways, it's turned out beneficial for myself and the family. I benefit due to their financial position and status, and they are learning to love and accept myself aswel as my generation. All in all we learn a lot and it usually ends in a group hug and a new moral teaching

A bunch of my buddies were at this house playing our normal Thursday night poker game. This one Mexican kid was friends with some of the people there but we had some passive-aggressive beef going on for the past few weeks (long story short, it involved a girl). Anyways, he ends up coming to the poker game unexpectedly and wouldn't you know it, he was wearing one of MY sweatshirts that I left at a friend's house. I asked him to give it to me, he cockily said he would give it to me later. He walks out of the house to leave, one of my friend's says I should go get the sweatshirt, so I follow him down the stairs. I confront him on the porch, we both have a firm grasp of one another's shirts with one hand and we are talking shit back and forth. He says, "What are you gonna do pussy?". So I wind up and deck him straight on his right cheekbone. He falls, pulls me down, couple punches thrown on the ground but it gets broken up. Next day at school he was wearing these HUGE glasses to cover up the bruise on his face.

Yea, was at the beach one time with a couple of my good friends. Me and my best friend walked off from the party for a bit and were just talking and we were both hammered. He decided we should play the "punch each other in the arm" game see who would give up first we did so for a couple swings then (me being drunk) basically missed his shoulder went up his arm a little and clocked him in the jaw- it wasn't a full blow since it glazed his shoulder first but oh was he pissed so he demanded i should let him punch me in the face and i denied. Then we went at it till our friends broke us up. It was videod and both of us woke up the next morning and were like "eh" whatever we were drunk ha it was funny just because we moved on so easily

I fight people with intellect instead of fists. The man who throws the first punch has already lost the fight.

fighting is worse than drugs, avoid at all cost. unless justice must be served - #1: hitting a lady, unless its one of those thugged out ladies that weigh 300 lbs and is able to bench press 200 lbs, they are exempt.
with that said, last time i fought was in middle school with a friend, for reasons i can't remember. had a basketball game that day, i couldn't play because my right hand got swollen for punching his face too many times. before and after that doesn't count because i was just a ignorant youngin trying to be a thug and pick fights with kids from other schools.
a friend of mine was killed about a year ago from a club fight. please, avoid street fights, they're not worth it.

Except as he just punched you out and proceeded to take everything you love. Intellect is what rules society but the first is what makes people obey, else we wouldn't need police etc.

I think thats terrible flashing a gun to everyone is going to get more people pissed off. Sure they might not mess with you today but the next day they will come back with someone who ALSO has a gun now what?

Got in a pretty sizable bar brawl a couple years ago, was out with a bunch of friends, standing at the bar drinking turn around and see some dude swinging on my buddy, so I ran up and started punching the guy in the face. Then me and the guy that was getting swung on at the same time grab each of the guys we're fighting and we both throw ourselves down the stairs and bring them with us. Kind of stupid because I think I got a concussion from it, but I was wasted. Somehow my buddy managed to end up coming down with a foot on the guy's face at the bottom of the stairs and really fucked him up.

basically when i was younger and more of a spastic then than i am now me and this guy were insulting each other with stupid stuff. next day while im walking home from school (was in year/grade 8, this guy was in the year above) he punched me in the back of the head and i fell to the ground and he just like got on top of me punched me a few more times and ran off with his mate. next day i waited for him and a crowd of people were waiting for the bus so i was a bit nervous to getting destroyed infront of people but we both got a few punches off before it ended apparently his lip was bleeding and he had a few tears but i never got to see it for myself since i got pulled away by the older kids.
life story over
