Nah, US legal system is uptight enough that it could No it really couldn't. It takes two people to shake hands. It takes 2 people too have sex as well. Wonder where rape enters the picture... Yes, because raping someone and shaking someone's hands are completely similar acts. Raping someone means you have sex with them by violently forcing them to. Whereas shaking hands usually begins with one person offering a handshake and the other person either accepting or rejecting it. Quite different, dont you think? Well, this is an extremely stupid analogy, but you could by force shake someones hand... Idk... I have been reading through a bit of this, and you keep saying weird things. You said it your self "Whereas shaking hands usually begins with one person offering a handshake and the other person either accepting or rejecting it" No, he is correct in saying handshakes usually begin with one person offering a handshake and the other person either accepting or rejecting it. An unusual handshake may possibly occur after me and a friend make up a wait for it... + Show Spoiler + This handshake may consist of taking a shoe off, tossing it in the sky and giving the next person a reacharound before grabbing their hand and shaking it, or any other nonsensical progression the participants will it to consist of.
I don't know where my post became hard to understand, but that was what i was saying too. That he was right in saying that is usually how things go.

You said that I say 'weird stuff because it was an extremely dumb analogy', I told you that it's not even an analogy I came up with. What is there not to understand?

Yeah, you do say weird stuff i can't understand. I mean it's dumb, but it still holds true. My analogy that is...

In a sense it does, it gave Steven the impression that physical contact is okay anyway and with the silent agreement she gave him when he was touching her boobs, I personally think it's perfectly reasonable to think that Steven didn't do anything wrong.

The problem is that you don't understand what analogies are. They are not meant to be literal descriptions of what happened, they are similar situations used to explain what happened.

So which part of her, aside from his crotch resting against her butt, his chest resting against her back, his head resting on her shoulder and his legs resting against hers is he not allowed to touch?

"Similarity in some respects between things that are otherwise dissimilar." That is what an analogy is. How dose that not work with what i said?

A friend of yours beckons to you and flashes a wad of money. You respond to this by going to this person. The person tells you to stick your hand out and you do so. They then place the money in your hand and walk away, telling you they want it back, but when you try to return it, they reject it and try to put it back into your possession. What do you do? Is it yours, or is it theirs?
Mia Rose allowed him to touch her, this is undisputed. She acquiesced to the stream's wishes for her to take off her pants. She put them back on to take a smoke outside. She then took them off again when Destiny asked her. Destiny was drunk, and probably in his muddled state of thinking, not being reprimanded sternly for touching her equals her consent.
"But this is not lawful!", you may claim. And I agree. However, when a man who is openly drunk tells a sober girl to take off her pants (which she does), touches her intimately at various times (which she does not object to immediately, and continues to not object to until she cannot concentrate fully at doing another task), and then obeys his untoward advances by sitting on his lap at his beckon, THEN you can draw the conclusion that the girl consents to his actions (and does not consent to anything more intimate than what he is already doing currently unless otherwise specified).
She offered him her body to touch and she was obviously not serious in her efforts to get him to stop, as evidenced by her sitting in his lap after she scolded him, what 3-5 times before? Please stop trying to defend her. This isn't a strip club with a no touching rule where you could sympathize with her for acting provocatively and getting offended at his reactions. This is a house, she chose to come over, she knew what type of persons they all were, she knew he was drunk, she knew he would not be sexually sated if she allowed it once, and she still went through with it.
Perhaps she finally decided that this was out of hand when he dropped over on the floor and she knew this was it for the night, but as for facilitating the touching, she was not as responsible as she could have been, and could not have possibly expected him to act intelligently in the wake of 10+ shots of strong alcohol, just as the fictional benefactor outlined at the beginning of this post could not have reasonably expected you to believe that they wanted the money back after they gave it away and rejected all efforts for it to be returned, even though they were telling you they wanted it back.
TL;DR Her actions made it clear that she consented to his behaviours.

Hey,
Would anyone who saw this event mind quickly running through what happened for me? This thread is just a jumble.
edit: Seen it via Reddit.
Yea he acted like a total and utter waste-man. But who the hell hasnt done that before when so drunk? It is all part and parcel of growing up. Terrible decision to stream it, but we should all know what that amount of drink can do, especially to those who are not used to drinking at all.

uhh, quick rundown anybody? or reddit link?
|
all publicity is good publicity, he didn't do anything that bad and he probably regrets having his mistakes aired to 9k people but I doubt he cares what the interents say about him, just as long as they are talking about him
|
Why do arguments about things like rape and sexual harassment always degenerate into bickering about the use of analogies and such? I'm honestly starting to think using them is flawed, because most analogies leave a lot unsaid and allow for interpretations you didn't really intend to, which then derail the thread.

I find it strange that Mia can star in over 100 porn films, but cannot legally have a drink of alcohol.
To all the people claiming sexual harassment, this girl is literally begging for it most of the time.

Basically, Destiny, Catz, Mia and some other people have gotten together for a skiing trip or something. To make a long story short, they got Destiny drinking despite him not really wanting to. This lead to him drinking waaaaaay too much. He started acting pretty foolish, saying things on stream that were really personal that he shouldn't have, he also showed his salary which violated the terms of use of Own3d. The thing everyones going on about is how he kept touching Mia even though she seemed to be getting really annoyed with it. Eventually they put him to bed. End of story. 0.0

Yea, the suicide story thing was really...well awkward and hard to listen to. If you could tell, + Show Spoiler +i'm interested, what was his salary?

It's up to her. They're barely more than acquaintances (she still refers to him as Destiny, haha), it was inappropriate and unfair but I doubt she's maintained an ounce of the average Reddit responder's care.

Can people please stop asking for a juicy rehash of the events of that stream? Just look it up on reddit or read the last 12 pages of the thread if you must.
