Decided to go AMD route, also went for this mobo. Ebay seller was selling 250gb samsung evo 840 for 140 dollars. Now looking for coolers for my cpu, Any good Air solution? Thinking about going standard Noctua set up. EDIT: probably gunna do the CM hyper 212 evo, not a big enough performance difference between CM and Noctua to warrant the extra 50 bucks. | ||

The FX-8320 is the exact same CPU. The difference is, the FX-9370 was tested and its voltage tables set up to run correctly at 4.4GHz. You can buy the FX-8320 and find out its stable voltage for 4.4GHz yourself. There's no selection of particularly good CPUs going on, I'm pretty sure. You will not get a CPU that needs less voltage than any random FX-8320 for 4.4GHz. (EDIT: turbo speed is 4.7GHz, it seems, so it's a pretty massive overclock) You will still need a pretty beefy motherboard for the FX-9370, same as what you'd want to overclock a FX-8320 a good amount, same with the CPU cooler. | ||

I can't decide which of these two is better, or if anyone knows any other gtx 770 models that are better and worth the extra money (they are 285 and 280 after rebates). If you are interested in the performance of the coolers, those two fans on the MSI card are not necessarily worse at cooling. The fans look like they are 92mm while that Gigabyte card in your example has 80mm fans. We don't know the speeds of the different fans. Overall, you can't really guess what's better without looking at reviews. | ||
