Rumors have it that the mafia, led by their oppressive leader Hot_Bid, were behind the attack. Town leaders and elected officials were targeted in the attack in an attempt to silence their cry for justice. The town must now rise from the chaos and select new leaders amongst themselves. However, it is rumored that the mafia has infiltrated the town and now seeks power for themselves! Only until the town is able to hunt down all threats will they be able to sleep peacefully. Cyber_Cheese the Mayor has died! iGrok the Chief Adviser has died! Bumatlarge the Police Chief has died! Qatol the Lawyer has died! GMarshal the Spiritual Leader has died! Kavdragon the village idiot has died! It is now Day One! Each day consists of a lynch and an election. During the election, an office will be reward to the winner and the runner-up. Everyone is welcome to run for office, however, a player may not be elected on consecutive days. Today's election will be for the Mayor and the Pardoner: You are the Mayor! You may decide the outcome of any future election or lynch that is tied. Upon your death, this power will pass to the pardoner. When both the mayor and pardoner have died, normal tie-breaking procedures will be used. In addition, you have an additional hidden vote you may use during the lynch or election. Your hidden vote will not be reflected until the final vote count. You have been provided with a bodyguard to protect you from all actions, excluding role blocks. The bodyguard selection method will not be revealed. You will not be informed of the bodyguard's identity. You are the Pardoner. Twice per game you may pardon a player, nullifying all votes against the player during the lynch. You must submit your pardon before the end of the day cycle and may not pardon yourself. You also share the protection of the mayoral bodyguard and are protected from all actions, excluding role blocks. You have 48 hours to decide the lynch and elect the Mayor and Pardoner. We're all three of us good players We're all good at scum hunting We all consistently get shot by mafia Night 1 and 2. We are unlikely both mafia, and have decent reads on each other if one of us is scum. The main benefit of the mayor and pardoner roles is the protection of the hidden bodyguard. With him alive, the elected roles can't be touched. As such it makes sense to use that protection to keep strong players alive, players who are likely to be targeted by mafia. In PYPInsane myself and Mig were elected, two strong town players and we cruised to victory. In this game I recommend we do the same. Palmar, Syllogism and Myself all have the ability to be completely game changing if left alive long enough, elected roles does that. Palmar and Syllo, maybe you guys weren't planning on running, but that would be foolish, and you guys aren't foolish. Obviously I have no idea of Palmar/Syllos alignment, and everyone only has one vote, so please vote for me. However, Palmar/Syllo should most likely be in second place. A vote for me is a vote for town victory. | ||

I've thought a bit about this and we want the best townie mayor and pardoner we can get. They both play important roles in this game. Its very important we get these two positions filled up by people who are 100% not mafia. This can be tough obviously. So I think its obvious we want someone who is willing to write a lot in order to be one of these. I'd like to see a few lies thrown in their to kind of get a baseline from it. This sort of thing might sound weird in text, but I'd love someone to write something like 2 sentences that are true and 2 that are false. IE : Hi, my name is James Wallabee and I'm the town mayor. We've been working on gold mining for the last 2 years and are now free of debt. --- Hi, my name is Shawn Simon and I want to be the town mayor. However its something that'll take a lot of work and require a lot of work petitioning and even then I may not be the best choice for this! Just something to give all of us a small base. As I know its possible to look through all past mafia and kind of get an idea of each player. ( This is allowed ? to read other mafia games that players here have taken part in? I'd like to have some base without having to leave this thread and to just get something early on from each player too. I think its important not to over over think things, as I'm thinking quite hard on how to write this so I think I'll stop here. I'm the townie for the job,(Mayor or Pardoner) and this is just my first post pointing some things I'd like to see us do to figure out who else is town, or at least get a baseline. Also, I dont know if its weird, but I'd love some sort of introduction from most of you, unless were just going to go buy gamer tags. Either way is fine, I just prefer real people to OMG CYBER_CHEESE IS DEAD. =) | ||

I won't always follow what everyone says just because everyone says it. I'm ready for a position in this game. I want to contend and end this game quick. I get the basic read from Redfield that hes clean though. Just from the imaginary tone I hear in my head. Obviously I can't tell anything for sure and this is just basic. So TL:DR I'd like to be mayor, or pardoner I think I'll do a good job of it, but I also think Radfield could do a good job too. Havn't seen a post from Arctocod yet to even know if they want to run yet as well, so can't comment on that! | ||

GreyMist and prplhz have ran before but I don't find prplhz as a particularly good player judging from his past performance in the last game - a lot of people had him on scum list. GreyMist is good so if he decides to run I see him as the dark horse but his activity seems questionable. I probably won't be running but I hope other candidates do as I don't really want to see a Radfield/Arctocod office as Palmar's performance in XLVIII was really underwhelming I think out of Radfields 4 statements We're all three of us good players We're all good at scum hunting We all consistently get shot by mafia Night 1 and 2. We are unlikely both mafia, and have decent reads on each other if one of us is scum. The first 3 are true, especially the 3rd statement. Veterans who have known to be good always have a big target on their back so I would say its probably a necessity to have at least 1 of them in office (disregarding alignment for now). I think that is a risk we will have to take as town. The last statement however makes me uneasy. Albeit mathematically it is true that you are both unlikely mafia; having you both in office as scum would be devastating. And the fact that Radfield has suggested/linked to Arctocod so early adds to the uneasiness. Would like to hear from (them) first. | ||
