im surprised people who say they are thin have 32in waist. i mean im not calling you fat, but im 5'9 and 190-200lbs and i consider myself fairly overweight. i mean not obese, but im def not fit/healthy/in shape. i wear 34 pants. i mean i can see the average for americans being 34, but i cant see thin or in shape people wearing 32s...

That's because your torso doesn't really have any weight to pull up.

That isn't exactly correct. I trained my triceps for a few months to be able to do pull/push-ups. Before that I could do maybe 5 pullups and 10 push-ups tops. So yeah, while little weight certainly helps, you need mucles too.

As i lost about 15 Kg 2 years ago i suddenly also could do ~10 push ups.

I lost that weight whiteout doing any sport, if anything i lost muscle. Your weight is probably more important than working out for being "above" average.

Reminds me of a Friend which was about the same size as me but thin as hell.. He could do like 30 push ups while i barely managed 1... But he could barely lift me for more than 5 seconds while i could carry him all day long (and throw him around, and... all the fun stuff kids can do to other kids :D).

Push ups are no good measurement for comparing your strenght to that of others. Not at all.

Try doing it being almost a foot taller and 70 pounds heavier.

Little guys have it easy.

They're good for measuring relative strength.

Money spent on supplements and Bench Press seem made up. I work out 5x a week, and 160 is what I do when I brag, in my dreams.

Also, 27 push-ups with perfect form in one minute is pretty sick. I know most guys I know can't do that, lol.

the push ups has a lot of room for debate on what is "good form" and just how far you have to go down for it to count

Hey! How are you sure everyone can do at least 10? I can barely even do 1, and I'm not obese by any standards. (Though I am weak, so I guess that counts...)

Nope, this one's pretty accurate.

I'd say your average *gym goer* can do at least 10, but even your no-progress lifter is generally significantly above average.

It depends on what you're buying. Protein shakes + a post workout supplement with glutamine in it will run you like ~$200 every two months, depending on the brand you buy. I easily spend over that on supplements per year, but it's mostly protein shakes, since that's a super easy way to increase protein intake without adding tons of calories. . . it's also cheaper/easier than buying tons of tuan/chicken/etc. (I hate cooking and preparing food).

...Except those biceps, I just started my workout regimen a couple weeks ago and my bicep size was 13" but to be fair, that mass is spread out over a big pair of airplane wings. And those upper pecs....always room for self improvement.

And wow, 3-10 minutes? There must be some unsatisfied women out there :C

I'm certain I read somewhere that most women prefer sex to last around 10 minutes, and that more than 13 is too much... that may be just a lie to make guys feel better about themselves though lol.

Yeah, I'm sure most women don't enjoy getting off multiple times in the same night (which often takes more than 13 minutes). I guess it does get uncomfortable after a while, depending on how hard you're going at it. I'm gonna put it this way, my ex and I asked her sister to leave her house without us to pick some stuff up (because we wanted to do it), and she was gone maybe 15 minutes. . . Her sister laughed at the idea that we were done that fast. So, I don't think that is very accurate.
I'm never gonna know you now \ But I'm gonna love you anyhow.

average mile 12:17? jesus christ, I don't consider myself as fit at all (I'm healthy, not fit) and the last timed run I did (2km, so about 1.6 miles ish) was 9:07...

The vitamins thing HAS to be an American thing. I mean, in my goddamn LACROSSE club at uni probably the most I spent was 15 pounds a month on protein shakes and multivitamins. which tops at 180 pounds a year. Why the hell is it at ~$874? That's ridiculous.

Average number of pull ups is also surprisingly low. 1? I admit I'm on the lean side of the scale, but I don't lift weights and I just did 9 on my door frame...

That resting heart rate thing seems very low, unless a lot more people suffer from bradycardia than I thought. most healthy people have it around 60 - 80 bpm, mines 57. The only healthy people who have low resting heart rate tend to be people who do long distance racing, such as marathon runners or cyclists.

I've devised a way to find out who has a small penis on TL. The below is a careful examination I did of a thread where people were baited to declaring their penis size in reverse to a forum of males so that they may feel validated and mighty. The following revealed an astounding insecurity on TL... why are so many males mentioning their penis size in a thread that is about everything relating to life? Why are all of them discussing it? Who gives a fuck? Well, the only conclusion can be that they are in fact tiny tin soldiers. Little willy men of the night. People that make up for their inadequacies by buying tru- , oh, nope.. they post on a gaming forum about how above average their penis is.

BEHOLD

This thread also has some amazingly fit people. Everyone walks lightening fast miles, does a million pullups and has 16' waists. I had no idea TL was so physically gifted

We should measure the average TL'er.

We'd all be 2 meters tall, run the mile in 4mins, have 9 inch dicks, and do 10+ pull ups. AND we're good at starcraft. hifive.

Most people exaggerate alot though, even the stat shows; 69% think they're fit, but only 13% are.

Also, "none of my friends have seen a dick that small"

Uhhh, do you discuss dick sizes with your friends? That has got to be awkward.
If wishes were horses we'd be eating steak right now.
