Update: Total and offline prelim player pools were wrong. They have been fixed.

Humm, this is indeed interesting. It shows that T is actually the predominant choice nowadays among Korean progamers and progamer-wannabes. It also shows that relatively, more P than T have qualified from the PSL. It also shows that, regardless of their relatively numerous initial presence, Z are the losers this season in terms of qualification.
Of course given the slight (and standard) assumption of T>Z>P>T this makes sense.
More, and also more detailed stats could reveal other interesting things, but for now, thanks SonuvBob, nice job!

Interesting statistics.
There's something about those stats that makes me think Koreans are very good at StarCraft, but I can't quite put my finger on it... Needs more analysis...

ouch, poor zergs. pvz/zvp and tvz/zvt are the best to watch (better than pvt/tvp and the mirrors imo)... starcraft would be nowhere near as good without the zerg race.
and just last year zerg was like raping it up, sheesh.
one other thing to consider though is that people choose the race they have the most success with, so the initial percentages for the player base aren't really objective either... the fact that there's 43% terrans could mean that terran is slightly imba. i don't really have a point to that other than that some conclusions are hard to draw.
