Terran is the hardest race to master, and easiest to learn. The obvious choice for a pro, because if you have what it takes this race won't let you down on top-level play, in certain areas where Zerg and Toss would just seem limited. Terran can get the most out of micro, but it's very hard. Imba you say? not at all, it's actually hardest with Terran, but in consequence, it has the most potential. Tosses and Zergs are just deluding themselves. Anyways, other statistics (I've saw once on Tl.net), the distribution of races (on this site) is somewhat like : toss 60%, terran and zerg 20% each. Toss looks cool, but besides it's for the masses, for the robots, the sheep, the bricks in the wall, and it's usually so fucking easy to macro(at least the part of consuming minerals by producing units @ Gateways). How dare any say "gay"? Traitors!!! do you forget where your loyalties stand? DO YOU FORGET who you Emperor is? That's right, its BOXER, A FUCKING TERRAN, AND A FUCKING GOOD TERRAN. + Show Spoiler + And I'm Terran of course :D + Show Spoiler + races are equall, have you ever considered it feels more 'normal' for newbies to pick up Terran just because the newbies themselves are actually humans? And newbies just like I've mentioned, in Korea sometimes become pro :0 EDIT: all of this still doesn't explain why the heck StarLeagues come with such Terran advantaging maps... perhaps the administration just wants another "boxer", to keep the masses highly entertained while revitalizing the whole industry; perhaps OGN and MBC presidents/ruling committees/whatever just don't believe in a future protoss or zerg Boxer. i've always believe that, simply because the terrans were described as "middle of the road", and a safe race, as well as being the first race you'll test out in starcraft (campaign); that it is considered the easiest to learn. hardest race to master? i think it mostly depends on the person -.- your calling terran hardest to master because maybe it was for you and some people, and that strong players played it (i see you mentioned boxer a bit) in certain areas where Zerg and Toss would just seem limited. lol ZvT savior SWARM IMBA i play terran because someone told me to, and i find the others boring go fig | ||
