I'm a Norwegian national studying and living in Seoul. I have decided to help the scbw community by restreaming afreeca whenever I can, even though scbw is not my passion strictly speaking. Because of this my main stream will be used for other games in addition to restreaming afreeca. However, because I realize most spectators would of course prefer to watch BW - I have made a secondary stream that will be dedicated 100% to scbw. I often leave my computer for a while(with the streams still on), either to sleep or do other stuff. Sometimes I am in the apartment and take a look at the streams every once in a while to make sure they are connected. Other times they disconnect while I am sleeping or out of the apartment - I do apologize if you sometimes see them as disconnected
Amazing stream I have it open every time I'm at the pc, really nice to be able to just watch some nice bw whenever I feel like it. Keep up the good work and pls setup a paypal for donations or w/e I'd really like to give something back to you for providing such an amazing service.
Honestly I've been thinking about maybe setting up a paypal to support the players I am actually restreaming. Not sure exactly how that would work - maybe dividing evenly among sospa or supporting ssl in a way. Any amount of money would be much more useful for the players than me in any case.
Are you allowed to broadcast commercials? It would be nice if you broadcast a commercial once in a while when nothing is happening and then maybe run use it to improve your stream/sponsor a tournament.
That is an interesting premise. I need to be a twitch partner first though, but it would be nice if my mods could run commercials during downtime to earn money, then I could donate that cash towards SSL or whatever. I'm considering different monetizing possibilities..
Recently snipealot2 SSL restreams became scaled from 16 : 9 to 4 : 3, which is very nice. However it seems that the quality of the software scaler is not good. + Show Spoiler +
It even skips many vertical lines completely without interpolation. You can notice it looking at "life bar" of buildings or text.
But used output resolution allows better image imho if using better scaler.
So, probably the algorithm used for scaling is very fast and poor. I suggest to use bicubic algorithm (or better, like very slow sincR or lanczos)
btw, why don't you try restreaming SSL in higher resolution/higher bitrate if your internet connection allows it. If you check the kjwcj's VODs ( http://www.twitch.tv/kjwcj/b/335536639 ), you can see the quality is superb.

The issue is with my snipealot2 24/7 afreeca restream being streamed from a rather old laptop. I have been streaming SSL in the full resolution(like kjwcj) on my main stream(my main computers stream) a few times but this requires me to be physically at my computer at least when it starts to set it up.
I'll be doing the first real lesson on saturday 10AM KST (so friday night for us/eu) - but in order to follow it one must be able to read the alphabet. First lesson will be sort of introductory but I will go pretty fast.
Just moved to obsproject instead of xsplit on the 24/7 bw stream. Hopefully this will make it better. Need feedback on quality compared to earlier, haven't finalized the settings yet in obsproject (currently at 600/600 + quality 6)

How much of the iffy quality is on your end and how much is it on the Korean streamers?
I mean the quality is pretty okay, but it can obviously be improved.
I really like this stream especially the fact that I can tune in whenever I want and I guess at least a couple hundred people agree with me. If possible could you stream less Hiya? He often just does random stuff on stream instead of actually playing and what happened to the other Snipelot stream?
The other stream is still on a lot - but that stream doesn't do afreeca restreams all the time. I only restream afreeca on /snipealot when there are bigger events like SonicTV. Other times I do other stuff(like the ESWC French Qualifier csgo final I just casted) - so it is not featured on TL.
*Larva sorry he does a lot of random shit. I know he is a good player, but it's a turn off listening to him blabble on in a language that I don't understand while watching random videos.
Gonna be running the SonicTV rebroadcast until around 7PM tonight on the main stream - when the rebroadcast goes down an admin will put up the proper live broadcast for 7PM SSL ro8.
Streaming old vods would be cool but rather hard to implement. The better idea would just be to get some more mods. Looking at the afreeca list there were viable candidates for streaming all night - but simply no mods on to change the streamer. I urge anyone who wishes to become a mod to pm me here with skype id + twitch id + timezone.
Started watching the stream some time ago. Ended up having it running in the background for pretty much 48 hours straight watching a game whenever i had time. Remembered that bw is the greatest esports game off all time, downloaded it and started playing on iccup again after 2 years away from the game. Love your stream! Thank you!

Honestly because of the amount of different players on my stream I have no idea how to narrow down that song :p Most players listen to kpop top100 lists or general kpop music. I can recommend downloading an app for your smartphone if you have it that can recognize songs - there are tons of them out there.

Just wanted to say how awesome this stream is! I never really got to enjoy professional BW because I played Warcraft 3 and was a die-hard follower of that scene. So, this is a really cool way for me to see great BW play. And, to be honest, I've been learning things that carry over to my SC2 play.... Great stream!

All the mods should know this, but if for some reason you see saviors first person view restreamed, notify the mods immediately. @IceBergZ - The stream usually restreams anyone that is online. There are a ton of 'regular' streamers on afreeca that we restream a lot. These include(but are not limited to): Mong, HiyA, Killer, Tyson, Shuttle, Movie, by.hero

I have one question. All this time I had no trouble with any of your Snipealot 1,2,3, etc streams However, since yesterday I could not watch your Snipealot 2 stream. Whenever I click on it it says "Video cannot load" and black screen stays there forever Weird thing is all the other Snipealot streams and all the other streams in general work fine only the Snipealot 2 channel gives me the black screen. I tried different browser, turn on/off adblock, reported it to twitch and all that but still not solved It really drives me crazy because usually the most viewed stream is on this channel just like Bisu's stream was on it today.
Did you do something with your setting for that channel? how come it worked fine all this time and just stop loading since yesterday.

No settings have been changed on snipealot2 in ages, but I've heard about that issue before. Usually it happens on the twitch website - have you tried to watch on TL? Embedded streams load differently for some reason. If this doesn't work try the allpick link:

I have ohter issues though T.T (SORRY) recent couple days all the BW channels of yours tend to lag very much I use 50 mb internet speed and other game channels don't lag even with the source quality. I noticed since your channel changed from supporting various qualities to one resoultion quality it lags severly it didn't lag before at all before it changed.

Nothing has changed at all, snipealot2 is still the only one with quality options. I suggest that you ask twitch what is wrong.

But i didnt came in here just to say that: I'd like to state my opinion about MOD's...Some of them are giving "mutes" for free , no reason. like sec ago Mod wrote "There wont be snipe3 anymore" and i've stated that 3 channels is enought couse most of the time we dont use all 4 of them...Well that was enought to get 600 seconds.Or once I've written that Bisu shouldnt sing couse he's bad at it , next 600 mute...For real ? Had the same today, was wondering what the hell is bisu talking about.
it's a dummy video that plays when the connection on snipealot is unstable and while it reattempts to reconnect to the streamer itll play that video so that the stream doesn't go down.

Just incase anyone is unaware: Youve been restreaming a recording of a few nada games in a constant loop for days on snipealot2. Sometimes it claims to be larva, sometimes it claims to be hero, but its always Nada from over a year ago.
