M18M, now SsonLighT is the first KeSPA licensed pro gamer to start a stream! He will be streaming multiple times a week his ladder and practice games, so please check out his stream and say hi.
He doesn't have a TL account yet, but we'll get him set up and on the TL stream list very shortly.
Sson will be moving to Los Angeles September 16th and will be staying to participate in the year-end LAN events throughout the states, so if you're a fan make sure to check out his twitter (twitter.com/ssonlight_) to see which events he will be attending.
I haven't followed him too much since hybrid proleague so idk about his sc2 skills but i still remeber his BW pimpest play on Aztec where he glithced a couple DTs threw the enemy DT on a ramp with the morphing trick. I've been a fan ever since.

HwangSin is featured. And I think your argument is pretty bad. KeSPA players have only had... 2-3 opportunities to even post results? He made it to the final of the OSL qualifier, which is pretty impressive considering the players he beat (Reality/Jaedong).

You and I both know that tournament results aren't the only way to be featured, and results lately aren't even a consideration. But he hasn't done anything yet, but if Flash wanted to stream his first day of SC2 my guess would be that he would be featured.

I agree with you Xeris it really seems like a double standard. You named one example but the list could go on. Just look at LzGamer whos featured right now. Seems like a nice enough, but whats he really done in the last 18-24 months.
Anyway, really enjoy the stream, I hope he keeps improving and shows "results."

There are plenty of good players that are not featured. Don't know why you are picking on Insur, though, look at his WCS results. TL features on results, popularity (Viewers), and even though sson is a great player, he has not been around long in SC2, so give it some time and i'm sure its possible he will be featured. But don't pick on players that are featured, the majority of earned it.

Many people use this, it's a modified build that gets units earlier instead of en masse. It's a pretty common counter to 4 gate.

No, and he's not worried about it either. It isn't necessarily about the level of people you're playing with (and also, according to Son, the top GM of any server is good enough). As long as you play enough games and practice properly, it doesn't matter where you play. Look at Violet for example - he got good WHILE he was in the US, and it's not like he was playing on the KR server (he played almost exclusively on the US).
The way he practices is very precise and what server you play doesn't really matter. Plus, he can play on KR if he wants.

This guy needs to be featured. He gets over 100 viewers every day with a non-featured stream, he interacts with the chat and he's an exceptional player.

I think the discussion is this way because people are seeing it as a priority right now. I'm not sure where the driven here to beg for feature is coming from, but there is no reason he shouldn't be. KeSPA protoss, GM in several leagues, etc. Other notable players at the top of their game (i.e. top BW/WC3 etc) were quickly featured it strikes me as odd that he wouldn't be yet.
There just doesn't seem to be a reason for it not to be featured.
He is a great ladder player who's developed solid and aggressive builds that excel vs erratic or the occasional standard style, and that is why his stream is very relevant to the viewers who see the featured streamer list.
I especially love the 6 gate fast blink build vs zerg and when he goes stargate in general.

Actually nobody is driving people here, they're doing it on their own.
They guy is 500+ views consistently (850 right now) without being featured, a former KESPA pro that was one game away from the OSL in sc2, #1 GM North America, Playhem winner, ocassional commentary, unique and strong playstyle and builds.
I love watching this stream. Please feature him, he has earned it. I really don't know what the delay is and I am disappointed by it taking TL so long to do it.

I don't think this guy even knows what TL featured stream means...he's just a chill dude, crushing NA GMs while singing to kpop. Seriously. People are finding his stream and are astonished by how good he is. He's like SKT1 Rain (Sun, whatever), but with slightly less harass. But basically he goes heavy gateway against almost all compositions, and just wins with storm.

It's about partnering up with twitch. I don't know how the process goes but you have to mail them to figure it out i think. Also he might need at least 500-1000 contstant viewers overall otherwise twitch wouldn't accept it i believe. Letting people chose their own resolution is resource demanding to twitch servers so they don't let everyone use it.

I'm not trying to be incendiary or disrespectful but there are players without major tournament success that are featured. EG.Machine is featured, LzGamer featured, I've even seen MaximusBlack featured at times I think. Seems as though there may be a moving goal line for featured status. Again, not starting a fight or anything, just saying from the casual observer (me) that it seems subjective who does/does not get featured. Could be wrong though.
I can't understand why Sson isn't featured, he really seems to deserve it in my opinion. Hes better than many other players that are featured, and I mean mannnny.

My comment was meant to be sarcastic. But in fact GTR is right, we should wait and see where Sson is heading with his career. On the other hand I don't understand why any of the players you mentioned are featured.
Was practicing with Idra and there were some kewl plays coming out of sSon! Like Hallucinated warp prisms late game and whatnot. Definitely keeping an eye on him
As this Thread wasn't updated, and the old one is closed, I'm going to post a update on what Stardust / Sson up to.
He Joined mYinsanity a month ago (News) and currently lives at the mYinsanity teamhouse in Bern. He Practices together with Wilko, Positive (Kim Tae-Hwan), Pengwin(the guy that casted WCS once) and the occasional Visitor (right now BEVZervas)
After travelling to the teamhouse he got EU GM within 48 hours of Arriving in Europe, and is currently top 30 GM EU, Streaming daily for 3-4 Hours.
