His main criticism upon StarCraft 2, which I agree with, is that the game is not evolving in strategy, neither has much room to do so in the current stage of development, we surely have to take in consideration the fact that having 2 more expansions on the way, it's obvious that WoL will have it's flaws... But again, I agree with him that it has become a game much more focused on the mechanics... Leaving strategy itself as a secondary tool.
How could LoL possibly require more teamwork than DotA? The penalties applied against self-faults are nearly nonexistent in LoL, meaning one player is ever more likely to overcome any appearance of a "deficit" because they were never really punished. This leads to more even team battles, but in turn means there is less skill involved to execute these team battles. In DotA, a team that is massively behind early game requires EXTREME skill to execute a proper team battle in order to get back into the game. Such a scenario would never occur in LoL to the same degree.

When I see Destiny on the stream list I think, "Ah ha! Finally someone is on who is worth watching!" I proceed to open his stream page and think, "Son of a bitch, LoL again? Where's Starcraft?" Then I stop watching T.T This happens kind of a lot lately.

Everyone QQing about Destiny playing LoL... So dumb He's going to do what he enjoys doing. When SC2 is your job, you're going to want to have something else to play after you've been practicing. So chill out.

LoL requires a lot less skill in both individual and team compared to dota and hon. You can't get back into the game once the snowball begins unless you somehow pulled a very amazing miracle big turnover. Starting the lane phrase, the amount of creep deny and last hit and bottling also set up a huge impact on how the game is going to turn out. lol is a lot more relaxed on these

no-body cares if LoL is better than HoN or if DOTA2 is better than X etc. Does Destiny care? NO. Does he care if your bothered by him playing LoL? NO.
Im not surprised hes making a transition - christ SC2 has been put on this massive peddestal by some very hard core fans and at the end of the day there is only so much playtime you can and should devote to one game. IMy guess is he is bored of the same old shit and wants a change.

Does Destiny care that he used to average 5-6k viewers playing SC2 on Twitch with a chat channel open to all comers?
Now he averages 1-2k viewers playing LoL on Own3d with a chat channel that's way to complicated to be worthwile...
Although... he still might make more $$$ with Own3d though depending on what type of deal he cut and how they calculate the revenue.

so has he quit sc2? or just playing LoL for a while? or what

yeah, after some thinking and research, I have to put myself wrong indeed, LoL seems indeed to be much more relaxed in therms of skill when compared with DotA or HoN, I do think he has an interesting point with the rune system and masteries in the other hand, because this can create multiple possibilities for a game plan, which causes the game to be a really great test of patience and that requires much more care from players.

I never understood that point. Steven played BW, he surely must have followed the pro scene or at least have known about it. Their training schedule wasn't (and isn't) that packed just because they enjoy playing 10+ hours a day. It was sort of predictable that SC2 would turn into the same game (in that aspect) in the long run; but Steven wanted to go pro and compete at MLGs, etc, so why is he backing out?
That reddit topic was a farce, I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of SC2 players/fans/watchers don't care about LoL, let alone hate it. That mixed with his comparison between LoL and SC2 and the circlejerk in his chat has made me stop watching his stream.

I miss the old Steven Boner the Second. Been watching old YT vods from over a year ago since he doesn't play SC2 anymore.

Good try for using mainly infestors for the game Destiny. Was fun to watch.

Streaming is hard work bro's, the man needs some time to play a much easier game. You know, LoL...

I'd watch him play ANYTHING but LoL

If you don't play as Destiny wants you to play, ur "abusing" the game and don't deserve to win. People play to win, face it, people will do everything it takes to win and it will never change, they only thing you can do is to accept the loss and play better. Shit happens, you rage and move on. If I nit-picked every single bad thing that happened in a game and tried to pin the blame on myself, I doubt the game would be much fun. The point of analysing your mistakes is to improve.
Wow that's genius, did you come up with that? If you actually watched his LoL stream, you'd know he's trying to improve.
Ergo, you're just a rabid fanboy who was quick to point out something that may have been wrong and ended up looking like a complete idiot.
Great first post bro.

I Would also seriously watch him play any game except for LoL.. it is with out a doubt one of the most boring games i have ever played and watched.

We all know that his very brief stint as an amateur SC2 player was to get his hand speed up to become THE GREATEST LOL PLAYER ON THE PLANET. Too bad its the most painful thing to watch ON THE PLANET. IMHO we should look for this stream UNDER the "Others" label, at least when that, almost game, is being streamed. Destiny for Un-featured 2012!

I don't understand why he made the move to be on a team just to play LOL all day and most of the time he was in korea... I'm glad he found a game he enjoys but no need flaming SC2 for his lack of mechanics...

wait...has he really quit sc2?

Wow I can't believe some of the insults being hurled Destiny's way just because he, on his own free stream which no one is obligated to watch in the slightest, is playing a different game sometimes. It's like someone coming over to mow my lawn every week without me asking, and when they suddenly stop I send them angry letters. Doesn't make any sense. If he gets less viewers, and doesn't mind it, I don't see why its our concern. While I don't enjoy LoL (I play some dota, but think the mobas are all boring to spectate), hearing his old-style banter is still amusing sometimes.

OK.First you need to get your facts right.
Although he has voiced some concerns about ebbing in his passion for sc2 he has gotten alot better since Korea, taking out players like hasuobs, mana and going down to violet 3-2 in a series.
He only played one game of lol in Korea and that was on his last day, saying he spent most of his time playing lol is a straight out lie.
He spends about 50/50 time playing sc2 and lol on his stream and hes still getting better. If you were a regular on his stream you would know this.
Stop trolling and get your facts right son.
