Love it, great idea.

In the liquipedia if you try to arrange ascending/descending by one qualifier points, EU/NA qualifiers 1,4,5 and 6 are arranged to alphabetical order making 100 look lower than 11.

My guess is that 112 points will be a cut off for qualifing in EU/NA qualifiers. So You will need at least 112 points to advance trough points and anyone below will have hard trouble advancing.BUt it of course depends highly on the performance of the players and whether or not some top scorers decide to play again in qualifiers.

Lalush and Darkforce have both like 90% chances they will advance in my opinion.

If we ended the qualifiers today it would be 13 Protoss - 11 Zerg - 5 Terran with two of the Terrans coming from TSL3 seeds, It's a bit concerning for the diversity of the tournament

First and Seed each need a good ro8 performance in the last 2 qualifiers to really secure their standings, I will be so sad if one or both don't make it through.

If we look what EU/NA points looked after 5 qualifiers, you got to top6 with 103 points. If you compare what top KR points look after 3 rounds to what top EU/NA looks its not that much different, mainly LaLuSh having huge lead, but with so few rounds it really cant look much different. However greatest difference is, that at that point 74 players from EU/NA had got points and only 64 on KR. This is not exactly true, if one of the winners had points, they are not counted on this, but it looks like KR points will get divided by lesser number of players (~15% less) meaning that after 5 you would need 122 point to qualify.

If you look how many points top6 had after 3 qualifiers, EU/NA had total of 618 and KR have 681. Thats 10% more points meaning you would need 114 points to qualify from KR

This is a fantastic idea, would definitely contribute to the TSL4 hype.

Please make it happen. <3

Seems like cutoff for qualifing will be much higher than i oryginaly thought. I sense fierce fighting for the last spot.

After 8 of 10 events, the race to qualify on points is still very open. Even #1 LaLuSh is not mathematically guaranteed, although it would take a perfect storm for that to happen. I think #5 Bischu is relatively safe, but #6 JonnyREcco is on the bubble. #7 and below almost certainly will need more points to make it.

First the perfect storm: 10 players can get 81 points or more over the next two events (see combinations below), and 12 players are within 77 points of #1 LaLuSh.

21+100
60+21
60+21
21+60
21+60
41+41
41+41
41+41
41+41

Looking at what is realistic, take #6 JonnyREcco. For him to get knocked to #9, 3 players below him must get 154 or more points. Just looking at players getting points for 1 of the 2 events left, players can overtake him:
100+54 - 2 spots, 27 players in range
60+94 - 4 spots, 11 players in range
41+113 - 8 spots, 7 players in range

I think odds are good one of the two 100 point placers to have 54 points already and instantly go over 153 points, and at least one more player to go over 153 by some other combination. That would still keep JonnyREcco safe, but add a second player going over 153 and he would need to get a few more points to stay in.

Oh yeah, points starting to matter with only 2 / 1 qualifiers left for NAEU/KR! Theorycrafting commences~

Generally think KillerDucky is at a good estimate at #6 being the cusp of the bubble. Save for some at the top, almost the entire rest of the Top 10 need points in the next two qualifiers to secure spots. The difference between 8 and 13 is particularly tiny.

I hope both Sheth and HerO will still earn enough points (or win the qualifier) to be in the competition for TSL4.

Go go you guys! Hwaiting!

He's a UK zerg. He's pretty young (15 iirc) and hasn't had many other achievements outside of the UK, but recently got a 3rd place (including beating demuslim 2-0) at UK WCS, so will be at the Blizzard European WCS finals thing in september.
edit: Also lost 4-3 to white-ra in a show match lately.
