If it's so important to have people from your particular nation playing in a tournament you can as well see it as your own responsibility to make that happen. Otherwise; pick a player whom you like, NOT because of his nationality but because of his personality and style and root for that person! Even though I'm Swedish, I would never restrict myself to cheering primarily for the Swedish players when there are so many other players who stylistically appeal to me much more.

Oh, well, excuse me for being patriotic. Should I also apologize for rooting for the Arkansas Razorbacks (my college football team), or the Americans in the Olympics? I mean, Canada might be better than us at Hockey, but fuck it, why wouldn't I cheer for the same people who came from where I came from?

Leave it to a Swede to be stuck up about SC2 skill/players. I'm so sorry you're spoiled for choice, but that doesn't mean that I can't be disappointed that Sheth just barely missed qualifying or that Idra/HuK/Nony/QxC didn't make it.

The race distribution isn't nearly as bad for terran and good for protoss as it seemed, pretty happy about the results (although I would've liked Stephano to qualify.)

I'm really sad that NonY didn't qualify (or even participate in the qualification process). I know he's still not playing at the highest level, and TL can't just invite him for the sake of tradition, but not having him in a TSL just seems completely wrong.

Too bad no North Americans except Major made the cut. Well, hopefully Europe can stand up against the Koreans.

Edit: Nevermind, this has been said like 5 times before in this thread :-(

Shethhh Y_Y He was USA's best hope for a small but strong representation in this tournament. However, I have no doubt that TSL4 will meet and rise above the already substantial bar that previous TSLs have set. TSL3 gave us the epic finals between the two Swedish powerhouses who have not surprisingly risen to be arguably the two most accomplished foreigners of the present time. ThorZain, winning respect from the Korean scene for having unflinching macro and no fear to go toe to toe with the best, relying on his mechanics. And NaNiwa, a controversial man, but one thing is clear, he is the foreigner who has taken the Korean model and turned it into success. I'm sure TSL4 will produce an epic finals and great games overall.

why hasn't stephano played in any of the qualifiers?
at least it's finally really nice to watch a tournament, which is almost solely based on qualifiers. Sad for NA and TL, though.
first we make expand, then we defense it.

I didn't ask for an apology, lol... I just think patriotism is irrational since I don't know any of the swedish players in person or have anything in common with them for certain. They may be the biggest douches in the scene, and yet the logic of patriotism tells me to cheer for them either way. I don't feel like doing that so blindly. I don't blame you for rooting for Sheth, Idra and QxC though! I would have really liked to see them in the tournament because they are great players that I enjoy watching. Because shouldn't that really be what matters?

Glad that Hasu made it, was really disappointed that he didn't get an invite. I'd like to see Ret go really far or win it .
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.
