Crikey, these matchups are volatile. Kas's raw experience and game sense vs ThorZain's insane practise and preparation. Naniwa vs HasuObs is much the same, as Hasu has plenty of Naniwa PvP to watch, whereas Naniwa's the favourite.

I'm too busy getting excited to see the results to make predictions or choose a side. D:

At least ThorZaIN has replays in which he can study Kas's TvT play. I don't think there is any recent TvT-replays of ThorZaIN.

Thorzain shows great potential in his PVT but Kas is really good TVT. Not much i know about Thorzain's TVT but he's not out yet and maybe he'll surprise us again. I think Nani will manhandle Hasu, his PVP is one of the best.

So sad, we need thorzain to pull off 4 wins from kas, in his weakest matchup against kas's strongest, because finals will be tvp and thorzain showed more in that so it would be better for the terran. But anyways, a Bo7 TvT will be awesome.

The protoss i dont care, bo7 PvP? Meh, im bored already (will watch it anyways, they can do crazy stuff sometimes).

just realized a possible septuplet 4gate incoming in PvP

well, yeah he had a VERY good run at Dallas and has been playing superbly, and will probably beat hasuobs, but Thorzain looks very good atm and if he can fluke his worst matchup and beat Kas, his TvP can literally beat the best

GO THORZAIN!

Really cool semi finals! Some fun facts about it:

- All Europeans
- All former WC3 players
- Two Swedes (possibility for an all Swedish final)
- Two former Human players in Warcraft 3 (Thorzain & Kas) & two former Undead players (HasuObs & NaNiwa)

Looking forward to it and crossing my fingers for Thorzain and NaNiwa!

I don't really care who wins between Thorzain and Kas, but I sincerely hope whoever does in that match can beat either protoss in the final. Thorzain and Kas have both been really awesome in this tournament. That game should have been the final..

Great! I would like to draw your attention to the following fact. If you look carefully at the grid of the TeamSpeak TL Open 8 you could find that Kas actually went through the pool of players that may look quite similiar to what we have now.

1) Kas played with Adel in TLOpen and won him in RO8 of TSL3.
2) Kas didn`t play with ThorZain who defeated HasuObs in TLOpen, but he is going to play him now. GOD, I hate when two players I root for are going to face each other, but that`s how it is and I choose Kas - this is emotional point of view. When it comes to rational part - it is Kas again because of the skill.
3) Imagine Kas goes to the finals and bam! he faces Naniwa whom he already defeated in TLOpen.
Of course, at this point of time the levels of players are a little bit different, but I would not be that confident about Naniwa to be the only favourite for this event.
You know who I think will take it all
Go Kas!

1. Protoss
2. Kas
3. Thorzain
4. Protoss

Pretty sure that Kas will win, so it´s likely the end results will look like this. :>

I have the funny feeling that whoever gets to train with Socke until the match starts will win the PvP. ^^

Nope. At the end of Sunday's Ro8 cast, Artosis said that he would not cast the finals. Because of the GSL and the fact that 8pm CEST = 3am KST.
Maybe for the next TSL...

Come on Kas!! This is going to be awesome, but wow, at least 4 PvPs!! Me as a Protoss I hate playing it but I love watching it!! Go Naniwa!!!
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

I predict Kas beating Thorzain due to Thorzain's weak TvT and Naniwa beating Hasuobs. Then Naniwa will stomp Kas in the finals.

I hope Thorzain beats Kas though since I think Thorzain can put up an alot better fight vs Naniwa.

Yesterday on a German podcast Socke said that Kas has the best TvP in Europe and Thorzain probably the second best and Hasu agreed, so no matter who will win the matches we will have a great TvP in the finals.

ThorZain mentioned that now he has a reason to practice his TvT so I'm hoping to expect good results from him. To be honest, I can't call any of the winners accurately as this was never a final I would have imagined. All of the players have performed exceedingly well. I couldn't be more excited however to watch these semifinal matches.

All four players are in very good shape so my predictions will primarily be based on form in the respective matchups. Based on this, Naniwa and Kas are strong favorites to win their respective match. The finals will hard to predict whoever advances, I'll however give a slight favor to Kas opponent, would he reach it.

Semi
Kas has in my opinion the best TvT in the world. His main problem is nerves (see Kas vs MC).
Thorzain has very good preparations but plays surprisingly bad TvT.
Naniwa has one of the best PvP, and got a huge confidence boost when he won MLG.
HasuObs has good preparations and ok PvP but has apparently a recent loss vs Naniwa.

Finals
Talking for NaNi is his good nerves and especially good vT right now. Against: Health problems.
Talking for Kas is matchhistory vs Nani. Against: Nerves and being just so-so vP (worst matchup).
Talking for ThorZain is his strategical strength vP and exceptional preparations. Against: Nerves.
Talking for HasuObs is good preparations and very strong vT.

I hope one of the players will do the iEchoic TvT build at least once in the Bo7. I've been waiting for it to show up in a pro-league match but haven't seen it yet

I wonder if it just doesn't work at the absolute highest levels of play? Or if perhaps the players are so used to playing with marine tank, switching up their style so radically might not really be possible to still succeed.

I think Naniwa is in a great position to win this.

Kas will more than likely take down Thorzain and Naniwa's PvP is ridiculous.

I can understand why TSL is casted from replays and i'm fine with it. But now that we have 4 europeans in the semis there shouldn't be too much of a problem if casted. Just sayin ;9

Hope Hasu takes it all. If he somehow takes takes down nani he has good chances in the offline final vs kas, who surely is the big favorite vs thorzain. but maybe nani vs thorzain would be the most epic final. anyway it will be great. :D

it isn't really a build that's extremely solid at the highest levels of play, at least not his exact build order. i can see the unit comp working, but its very hard to use in a way that is safe but has decent econ.

I think it will be Kas vs Naniwa, but I hope it will be Kas vs HasuObs in the finals. I like all four players and predicted Naniwa as the winner in the bracket contest, but HasuObs is my favorite player (with Socke) and I hope that he will make it to the finals and win the TSL although he is probably the underdog out of those four players.

I'm thinking it will be a Kas vs. Naniwa finals. It really shows how strong the people who qualified via TL open were. 3 of the top 4 were in the top 4 of the first tl open.

However, this time I think Nani will defeat his former teammate Kas in the finals.

Even though these are 2 mirror matchups im really expecting some solid and exciting games.

All 4 players are really skilled but i hope it will be thorzain vs naniwa in the finals. It would be an awesome PvT serie.
