He thought his reaver micro wasn't good, but the way I saw it, he used reaver in one game (I think, did he use them other than in game 4?) and those were some of the dumbest scarabs I've ever seen. Particulary at the natural, when the scarab exploded right in the middle of clumped/stacked SCVs and none of them die.

i hope jf goes all the way although you can say nothing wrong about ra either. and i want idra to lose not because of the view that he is bm but just because his in korea and the only thing he is doing is dominating foreign tournaments which to me is seems ridiculous/unfair on other foreigners. but i do cheer for him to achieve things in the korean scene cause his one of the few personality types that has the mentality to live the dream of a progamer in his non-native country.

But we have to be realistic: Idra will win. This makes me sad. I was hoping he was more certen on his skills and be more confident. ![]()

Between positioning the reaver and choosing a target, the player has a lot of control over the success of the scarab. Positioning your reaver is a defensive consideration as usually the positions that would yield the most successful scarabs would put the reaver or shuttle at greater risk. Choosing a target gives the player an option between a high chance of a successful scarab that'll do a little bit of damage or a lower chance of a successful scarab that would do maximum damage. So whether or not JF's micro was good in his own opinion will depend on what he was trying to do. I'm guessing he thought his reavers were taking a bit more damage than he planned and that his scarabs were not as likely to dud as they actually were. But if a different style player was a bit more reckless and didn't mind his reavers taking a lot of hits and purposely targeted scv's that would be more likely to cause a dud, then the micro would've been fine and the risk just didn't pay off that time.
